Great location and space with Parking

We rented this last minute for a family member and friend visiting Boston. It’s a great space with two beds in separate rooms and walkable to tons of great Cambridge locations. If you need a car, the parking permit includes is a huge benefit in a city like Boston/Cambridge where parking is hard to find. It was easy here! Owner was very communicative which we appreciated. Thank you!

Great location, but beware of your privacy., and if your hot natured, look else where.

Truly an incredible location, esp if visiting Harvard. You will need to walk up a few narrow and winding flights of stairs. Best not to bring heavy, nor large suitcases; which we had b/c we were moving our son into Harvard. Luckily he is strong, young, and healthy, so no big deal there. There are NO curtains over the large windows in the living room, so careful if you like to walk around naked. There was no extra blanket for the futon, so I had to use my son's sleeping bag. The tubing to the fan in the living room kept coming apart and spilling water, so if you don't like to get hot, you should probably look elsewhere. The drapes in the bedroom are not sized appropriately, so can let in a lot of heat, if not closed just right; or if the curtain falls over the window unit, since it covers it b/c it's too long. I would go back to this apartment b/c it is such a great location, if: 1) outdoor temp is 70 or below, then don't need to rely on A/C 2) drapes FULLY cover ALL the windows - as long as not sheer or "see-through" 3) there are blankets available, esp if it's winter

Could Have Been Better

The location of this apartment was perfect. The apartment could have been wonderful but it was not. The owner needs to put a little care into it if they want to really get people to came back. I had to clean and dust in order to feel like we could stay. A tea pot was left uncleaned with something that was very smelly. The are no window covers in the living area so if someone were to sleep on the very dirty futon they better bring a sleeping mask. There was clutter all through the apartment and staircase leading to the doorway. Felt like a fire hazard. The refrigerator made a sound like a wounded animal early in the morning. The air condition unit is not installed properly so the very cold air blows into the bedroom. Bring your own pillows because the ones provided are flatter then bad pancakes. There is not a TV although there is a stand with a cell phone holder attached. The closets that are available to guest are packed with junk so they are basically unusable. This is all unfortunate because the unit itself has great potential to be amazing. It just needs a bit of money and TLC put into it.

This apartment was a complete failure. We arrived late on Friday PM and the key of the building did not work. The owner sent a person an hour after arrival to make it work but it was a complete challenge and one had to spend 10 minutes to enter the building. We decided to move to a hotel. Do not rent this property. The owner believes you need to deal with the problem.

Great spacious and clean apartment very close to Harvard square. Bright and sunny. Street noise (close to Harvard sq…) Full kitchen and bath. Nice hardwood floor. Very clean and lots of towels!

Perfect location, easy parking!

Everything was clean. Internet worked well. Easy access to the T. Inexpensive/convenient Uber into Boston. Several nearby streets for parking using the provided zone 6 permit. Stairs will give your calves and glutes a good workout. But the property is very charming! Church across the street is gorgeous. The waffle restaurant next door keeps the street smelling amazing!! Wonderful stay here.

Fantastic location only 3 blocks from Harvard Square

First of all, I can't say enough about the location in Cambridge. It was ideal for our needs for Head of the Charles weekend and meeting friends from Harvard. The light in the apartment was wonderful--windows on both ends of it because the block is super small and the apartment spans the block. The hardwood floors and overall layout and architecture are great. It felt mostly clean, but some lights were burnt out and although we had paid not a small sum of extra money per night for my daughter to sleep on the tiny futon sofa, we had to dig in an overstuffed closet for unfolded sheets and inadequate blankets for her to use. We did not really use the kitchen at all, so we can't speak to how well it was equipped. During our stay, the host was super responsive, like within minutes. Which was great. But leading up to the stay, when there were issues with a double booking and I was worried I might lose the booking to the customer on the other site, days would sometimes pass without a response. Check in was very detailed and accurate.

communication with the property owner was poor- only way to reach was via messaging on VRBO site. We enquired about parking and were told it was metered street parking by the owner whereas the listing states parking is available. the unit was cluttered and NOT CLEAN. it felt like someone's dorm room that had been hastily swept up. one bath towel was available, no hand towels and the toilet seat was broken. We did not stay.
