HOUSE RULES:

1. The number of people booked is the number of Guests permitted to stay overnight on the property (max. 12).

2. Check-in: 3:00 p.m.– 8:00 p.m. Checkout: 11:00 a.m.

3. Self check-in and unlocking is by use of the side-door keypad. No key will be provided other than for the beach shed.

4. No street shoes are to be worn in the house.

5. No horseplay, running or jumping is allowed within the house...use the great outdoors.

6. No animals/pets are allowed on the property except with written permission.

7. Noise must be kept to a minimum after 10pm. (BYLAW NO. 403)

8. Please do not rearrange the indoor furniture.

9. There is no smoking or vaping inside the home. Extra cleaning fees to remove smoke odor and/or stains will apply as well as any lost revenues caused by delays due to smoke abatement.

10. One parking spot will be provided inside the garage. Additional vehicles may load and unload at the house but must park on the graveled area provided adjacent to the driveway entrance. Blocking the driveway with an unattended vehicle is unacceptable as I also allow a Neighbour the use of my beach access road.

11. Water toys, games, etc. provided for my Guest's use must be returned with all accessories to their rightful places at the end of your stay. Expect the unexpected...high winds and/or waves may occur so please put things away that could be lost or damaged from such events. No boats are allowed to be attached to the wharf during high winds.

12. The area is rural so fire is a major safety concern. If a Guest wishes to use a fireplace or the beach 'fire-pit' there are additional rules for use. I must therefore be notified in advance. A copy of these additional safety rules must be agreed to and signed before lighting any fireplace or the 'fire-pit'.

13. A maximum of 5 'Visitors' (non-Guests) are allowed on the property at any given time (BC COVID rules) and none are allowed to remain past midnight.

14. Access to the beach is by the gravel road or concrete stairs. Be very careful as the road is gravel and steep in sections. Appropriate footwear is recommended. If you pre-arrange it, once daily I'll gladly deliver what you need to the beach by 4x4 and bring it back up at the end of the day. COVID-19 negates normal Guest transport, therefore I'll only provide this service for those that can't possibly negotiate the road or stairs.

15. Adequate propane for the duration of your stay will be provided for the BBQ on the rear deck but not for the portable at the lake. Please clean up after yourselves and keep the grills clean. If left dirty and extra cleaning is required, an extra cleaning fee will be levied. For safety, please close the valve on the tank after every use.

16. Children and infants must be under active supervision by a parent or guardian at all times. All responsibility and duty of care for them must be provided by you, including their personal equipment and needs.

17. Please let us know immediately if something has broken, is empty or malfunctioning so it can be rectified.

18. Occasionally I may leave consumables such as spices, condiments or snacks. I try my very best to ensure that these are not expired or stale. HOWEVER, ultimately use is up to the Guest's discretion.

19. If you would like to host an event (i.e. wedding, graduation, birthday party), please arrange it with me first. Any such event without written permission will automatically result in an extra cleaning charge and at my sole discretion, eviction. Drinking is fine...drinking to excess will not be tolerated in my home! In the unfortunate event of any legal infractions, GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY and without any rights to a refund.

20. If Guests are suspected of carrying and/or using illegal drugs of any kind, the Authorities will be engaged, and GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY and without any rights to a refund.
