This 5 bedrooms + 6 FULL bathrooms offers a fully stocked kitchen, laundry facilities, a 500 sqft courtyard, high-speed internet, and so much more.
It's ideal for a business trip or conference, and because it's on the ground floor (there are no steps to access it), it is perfect for people with mobility difficulties* or families with small children.
Le Plateau Mont-Royal is one of the most popular and vibrant places to stay in Montreal with plenty of shops and cafés, and "mom and pop" stores. This apartment is surrounded by restaurants, cafés, shopping, theaters, and so much more. You will not need a car unless it is extremely cold outside.
In terms of parking...
Some free street parking can be found at times on the surrounding streets, but guests will need to be careful with the complicated signage that is in French only.
For this reason, we highly recommend using the closest indoor parking garage which is located at 400 rue de Malines.
Taxis or Uber are also easily found in Montreal.
OTHER NOTES:
- * Although a regular-size wheelchair will fit through the front door, we can not call this apartment wheelchair accessible. The wheelchairs will not fit through the bathroom doors, and we do not have accessible showers. If the person using the wheelchair can walk a little, this is a good choice. TO BE NOTED: The entire basement area (1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms and living room) will be difficult to access to someone wheelchair bound.
- This apartment has 1 indoor camera (facing the front street door. For break-in prevention only.) No live feed and no view inside. There is also a camera right outside of the apartment, at the back, facing the door opening to the back alley. Again, for break-in prevention only, and no view inside of the apartment. Lastly, there are 2 cameras in the storage area of the basement (which is not meant to be accessible to guests) to prevent theft.
- Once you book this space, you will have access to the whole apartment (except for a utility room that remains locked at all times under the basement stairs). You will NOT have access to the rooftop terrace. This is reserved for those renting the top floor.
- You will receive an SMS once VRBO confirms your reservation. It will ask you to reconfirm your phone number and to send us your means of travel.
- You must be at least 25 years of age to book this apartment. Anyone under the age of 21 not accompanied by a parent will need to provide the parent's or legal guardian's consent in writing.
- No 3rd party reservations will be accepted. The person making the reservation must be present during the stay, but doesn't need to be the 1st to arrive.
- We charge a high cleaning fee only to save our guests on taxes. The real cleaning fee is much lower. For this reason, you will be asked to perform a few simple tasks at checkout. We ask that you please load the dishwasher and start it, that you gather your garbage, seal the bags, and bring them to the back alley, and that you put the WHITE towels ONLY in the laundry machine and start it (the detergent is provided).
Our cleaning staff will take care of the beds (we like to spray them before washing) and everything else.
- Luggage can NOT be dropped off before check-in or left in the apartment after check-out. Our staff will not clean if guests' personal belongings are in the apartment.
- Early check-in and late check-out requests will be considered based on staff availability and will cost $115. If the request comes less than 10 days before check-in, the cost will rise to $150. The new check-in time will be 3 pm and the new check-out time will be noon.
- *We reserve the right to charge between $100 and $300 +tx to anyone not performing the required checkout tasks or to anyone leaving after the agreed-upon checkout time.
- There are NO regular TV channels other than the Samsung TV channels, but you can use your accounts for streaming services.
- It is important to note that travel insurance should be purchased by all travellers to protect personal belongings and last-minute trip cancellations or interruptions. Please look into it before you book any trip around the world.
- We have all the permits necessary to rent short-term in our city. We are certified by the Quebec Tourism Board and are a registered business in the province of Quebec. We can provide receipts and tax numbers upon request. We can also provide separate bills for other corporate rentals upon request.
- In addition to the pack-and-play, we can provide a standard crib, but it must be requested at least 2 weeks in advance.
A $50 + tx fee will be applied for assembly and preparation upon arrival.
- With the rise of car theft in Montreal, anyone driving in should consider bringing a steering wheel lock bar or any other device that could keep the car from driving away (like a car boot). Anyone driving SUVs, especially Toyota Highlander, Honda CRV, any type of Lexus, Jeep (all kinds), Pickup trucks, or Toyota Rav4 Hybrid, are encouraged to use indoor lots (the closest is located at 400 rue de Malines, a 2-minute walk).
As a courtesy, we have a steering wheel bar available that guests can borrow.
- **FAB HomeRentals will not be held responsible for any thefts, incidentals, or anything "parking related" **. By renting our apartment or our parking, guests acknowledge that they understand and agree to these terms.
- We cannot ship any items left behind after checkout.
- Non-smoking policy: Cigarettes and cigars are tolerated only if smoked OUTSIDE. Marijuana is NOT permitted on the premises, not even on the front terrace. When smoking outside, please do not throw cigarette butts on the ground.
- Quiet hours are between 10 pm and 9 am. Music will be tolerated between 9 am and 10 pm, provided the neighbours do not complain.
- Loud parties are not permitted. If a noise complaint comes up, VRBO will be immediately notified, and guests could be asked to leave.
- Pets are not permitted on the premises. Neighbouring pets are also not allowed in the apartment.
- Movie rentals are not permitted without prior approval, but will be possible if paid for in advance.

Bernhard and Frederique spent almost 20 years traveling the world on cruise ships working in several departments. This is where they met and after a true Love Boat story (they literally met on the Love Boat!), they decided to elect permanent residence in Montreal where Frederique was born and where they spent the last few years working in the property management field.
Because they love it so much, they decided to buy this 2nd rental property located in the best part of town, Le Plateau Mont-Royal and to start welcoming people from around the world.
