Casa Mari Carmen ist eine moderne, nach Süden ausgerichtete Villa mit 3 Schlafzimmern, privatem Pool und Terrassen in ruhiger Lage, nur wenige Autominuten vom hübschen weißen Dorf Cómpeta entfernt, das als "Perle der Axarquia" bekannt ist und ungefähr eine Stunde von Malaga entfernt liegt Flughafen (alle auf asphaltierten Straßen - keine Spuren) und 25 Minuten von der Küste entfernt.

Eine kurze Entfernung vom Dorf, den wunderschönen Bergen der Sierra Almijara und dem Nationalpark. Die nächste Bar ist nur ca. 20 Gehminuten entfernt.

Umgeben von 2.900 m² Weinreben, Oliven- und Obstbäumen mit fantastischem Blick über die Berge und Täler bis hinunter zum Mittelmeer, ist die Villa der ideale Ort für einen ruhigen, erholsamen und angenehmen Urlaub oder Ausgangspunkt für diejenigen, die wandern, Rad fahren möchten. Klettern oder Vogelbeobachtung.

Casa Mari Carmen ist über einen Eingangstor zu einer ebenen Einfahrt mit Parkmöglichkeiten für eine Reihe von Autos zu erreichen.

Durch einen Torbogen und einen schindelbedeckten Garten erreichen Sie die überdachte Veranda mit Esstisch und Stühlen aus Korbweide, die einen idealen Ort zum Entspannen oder Essen bietet. Genießen Sie die Aussicht und meiden Sie die Hitze der Sonne.

Die Eingangstür führt in das offene Wohn- / Esszimmer mit Holzbalken, Kamin, Sofa, Sesseln und einem großen Esstisch und Stühlen. Es gibt WiFi-Internetzugang, Satelliten-TV (einige kostenlose europäische Satellitensender), DVD-Player und Radio / CD-Player. Ein Fenster blickt auf die Hänge und Terrassentüren führen zum Pool- und Terrassenbereich.

Ein Torbogen führt in die voll ausgestattete Küche mit Fenster zur überdachten Veranda. Voll ausgestattet mit Granit-Arbeitsplatten, Halogen-Kochfeld, elektrischem Heizlüfter, Kühl- / Gefrierschrank, Mikrowelle, Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine usw. Sie sollten alles haben, was Sie für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt benötigen. Ein Wäscheständer, Bügeleisen und Bügelbrett sind ebenfalls vorhanden.

Vom Wohn- / Esszimmer führt ein weiterer Torbogen zu einem hellen und luftigen Korridor, von dem aus sich drei Schlafzimmer und ein Familienbadezimmer befinden.

Das Hauptschlafzimmer mit Türen zum Poolbereich verfügt über ein Doppelbett, einen großen Einbauschrank, eine Kommode, einen Schminktisch und einen Stuhl sowie ein eigenes Bad mit Dusche, WC und Waschbecken.

Schlafzimmer zwei hat zwei Einzelbetten und einen großen Einbauschrank.

Das dritte Schlafzimmer hat zwei Einzelbetten, einen großen Einbauschrank, einen Schminktisch und einen Stuhl.

Ein Reisebett und ein Hochstuhl sind auf Anfrage erhältlich.

Das Familienbad verfügt über eine Badewanne mit Dusche, WC, Bidet und Waschbecken.

Alle Fenster haben eingebaute Rollläden, die meisten mit Fliegengittern.

Draußen gibt es einen 8x4m großen Swimmingpool (in den Wintermonaten geschlossen) mit umlaufender Terrasse, einer Dusche am Pool und einem gemauerten Grill mit Außenspüle, um die Sommersonne optimal zu nutzen. Sonnenliegen, Tische, Stühle und Sonnenschirme laden zum Entspannen am Pool ein.

Eine Terrasse an der Vorderseite der Villa, die von einer niedrigen Hecke umzäunt ist, bietet einen weiteren Blick auf die umliegende Landschaft.

Das Haus wird vor der Ankunft mit Bettwäsche und Handtüchern gereinigt, die in der Villa zur Verfügung gestellt werden (bitte bringen Sie Ihre eigenen Strandtücher mit). Wir bitten darum, dass das Haus sauber hinterlassen wird und der Grill sauber ist.

A lovely villa for the adventurous driver in a beautiful setting!

After a scenic drive through the mountains we arrived at this beautiful villa, the directions supplied by the owners was perfect. After wanting a secluded villa, overall we found the villa to be secluded enough without being completely isolated. The villa was exactly as it had been described and fitted out very well for everything that you will need for your stay. The pool is of good size and depth with a deep and shallow end. All in all a villa we would like to return to!

Secluded location

The property was very nice, and the pool, with all the facilities you could need, however it was difficult (for us oldies) to get to the local taverna, 20 mins was a bit ambitious, but worth it when we got there, driving to the village was our only option, but worth it, really nice place! Flies and ants were our only problem, but that's the environment.

Great villa in a lovely location.

On arrival the villa was spotlessly clean. Everything we needed for our 2 week stay was there, and the kitchen and villa was very well equipped. The villa has a lovely sun terrace with great views into the valley and is in the sun from 0830 until 2100. There are also plenty of shaded areas which you can retreat to. Ian would reply to any queries before and during our stay promptly and was a pleasure to deal with. Over all, a great couple of weeks in the sunshine in a lovely location, staying in a clean, well equipped, comfortable villa. Thank you Ian.

Clean, Well appointed, Quiet, Great Pool Stunning views

Good directions to the property, well appointed. Clean on arrival. Great pool about 8m by 4m. Very quiet location. Car a must very step hills around. Nearby Competa a delightful village and worth an explore. Hills dotted with vines, almond trees and olive groves. We had a blocked shower which was fixed very quickly with no fuss. Weatherwas blue skies around 30 to 32 degrees all week. Highly recommended.

'The Sound OF Silence '

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing week spent at Casa Mari Carmen .The villa is set on the hillside overlooking a beautiful valley , the only sounds you hear are birdsong and the crickets ! The villa is secluded and private and not overlooked at all . It is very well equipped ,we struggled to think of anything that was missing ! The pool area and patio has 6 sunbeds and a large table and chairs(which we used for breakfast) ,there is also a covered patio with large table which we used when we needed shade. Competa is about 5 minutes away by car or about a 20 minute walk we used taxis at night , which were very reliable . Competa has lots of restaurants ,our favourite was El Pilon , we had checked all of the reviews on Trip Adviser but still made a few mistakes ! It might be useful to have a visitors book in the villa with a space for guests to write restaurant reviews ? Just a thought! Great chill out week .Many thanks Ian .

Everything we needed for a relaxing holiday

The villa has everything you might need for a great holiday. Well equipped kitchen. Different areas outside to dine. Plenty of space to relax by the pool and just a short drive to Competa for all of your supplies. As some previous reviewers have mentioned, the drive is STEEP but once you've driven up and down it a couple of times you're fine (go for an automatic car).

Perfect place for a relaxing holiday

Perfect

Great communication with the owners prior to arrival, very quick to respond to my queries. Directions to the the Villa were easy to follow. The welcome pack is very detailed giving you all the info you need. The Villa is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing break, beds are extremely comfortable, and I couldn’t get the kids out of the pool. It’s close to Competa but far enough away to be a very peaceful break away from it all. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending and would love to return. Thanks Ian & Helen for letting us stay!

every detail/una casa muy bien pensada y cuidada

The house is great, so well taken care, they think in every detail for their guests, even the books were great, when you usually find just rubbish. I would have preferred a house in the middle of nowhere, as there are more houses around, but that was to be expected as it is close to the village, and anyway there weren't any noise or nuisances. Just great! And Ian was very generous and attentive by email! Thanks a lot

We had a great week at the villa with our boys aged 13 and 17. The villa is well equipped as described and the pool was great. (WiFi was reliable which kept the teenagers happy!). Steep drive down to the villa and as a result steep walk to the village but great position and great views.

Fabulous stay

Our family of five throughly enjoyed our stay in the villa. The pool was great fun for all ages and many an hour was spent in the pool. The villa had everything we needed and allowed us to have a comfortable enjoyable stay. Competa is a must to be explored both in the day and evening. The super views from the villa patio and garden will be with us for some time.

Wonderful ecape to the country in Casa Mari Carmen

This is a well-equipped and maintained three-bed property just outside the picturesque town of Competa. It has wonderful views down the valley towards the sea in the distance, and you get the sun all the way through into the evening. We spent most days lazing in the sun and enjoying the peace and quiet - only sounds are the birds chirping, cicadas in the trees and a distant peacock squawking from somewhere down the valley! Inside the villa is neat and tidy, and the aircon in the bedrooms was a real plus. We didn't do much cooking in the kitchen, instead using the barbecue most nights and eating out on the patio. Just for awareness the driveway down to the villa is rather steep with a tight bend. We had an Audi A4 and it coped fine but I was a little worried I'd scrape the underside on the bend because the car was quite low and long. If we return I think we'll get an SUV for peace of mind :) So overall we'd highly recommend Casa Mari Carmen for anyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of the coast and experience a little more of Spanish life.

A lovely villa in a wonderful position with nice views of hillside. Totally bliss the peace and quiet was wonderful. The area surrounding the villa was different with the winding roads, the village of Competa was very handy being so close. We found that the people were all very friendly. Would definitely recommend the villa to others.

Superb!

We have stayed in many villas in several different countries and I can truthfully say that this is one of the best. Clean, spacious, well-equipped and in a beautifully quiet and secluded setting; there really isn't anything bad that I can say about it (with the slight exception that some of our party complained that the beds weren't the best, but as I slept like a log I couldn't possibly comment!). In some ways the description doesn't do the place justice: the location is lovely (even if the drive down from the main road is a little nerve-wracking after dark!) and the views down the valley are picturesque and restful. It was great to have free use of the air conditioning units, the pool is of a good size for both a morning's exercise and for just messing around, and the kitchen had everything we needed. A brilliant property and a real credit to its owners.

Great house!

From booking and all the way till we left the house, the service and level of information from Ian was at the highest level possible! It means a lot. Especially when it is in combination with a house of this standard, where it is very easy to live and relax. The area and Competa, is realkr a great place to be and really feel you are on holiday.

Great villa with awesome views!

Stayed for a short 4 night break. The villa has absolutely everything you could want for a stay - all in excellent condition and well kept. The booking arrangements and instructions to find it were clear, detailed and accurate. Never had any problems but just in case we were given local contacts as well as in the UK. The villa is in an excellent position with fantastic views over the valley below but completely private and not overlooked. You can choose to sit in the sun or shade probably from sunrise through to sunset. Good sized pool to the side that is in the sun for most of the day. Competa is a beautiful small town in which to stay bult into a hillside. Lots of good places to eat. It's a short 5 minute drive or a 15-20 minute walk. There's a bit of a steep hill at the start of the walk into the town but a good taxi service if you prefer. Overall, a great place to stay! Highly recommended! Faultless!

De bien à très bien : Localisation (2 km à pied de Compéta, village très sympa, très typique et avec toutes les commodités) Exposition de la maison et de la piscine (versant ensoleillé jusqu’au soir) Vue très sympa Pas de vis à vis Calme (en tout cas hors saison…), voisins des maisons à proximité très discrets (à confirmer car celle 30 m en contrebas vide pendant notre séjour), pas de vraie route à proximité donc pas de nuisance, une radio locale à tue-tête très souvent mais heureusement assez loin en contrebas…, pas d’aboiements Environnement bucolique (chant des coqs et des paons, âne) Intérieur très propre et neuf Terrasse bien aménagée Taille correcte de la piscine carrelée Cuisine très fonctionnelle et bien équipée Remboursement de la caution très rapide Moyen : La literie du 140 pas très confortable Living assez petit et sombre, beaucoup de marron, déco… Insuffisant : Entretien de la piscine (nous avons passé le balai et le jet autour de la piscine et l’épuisette dans la piscine à notre arrivée…) Le « pisciniste » est venu en 2 semaines 1 fois pour remettre du chlore bien que le pb ci-dessous soit signalé Le système de filtration de la piscine est inopérant (ou encrassé ou sous-dimensionné) car pas de puissance de l’évacuation de l’eau dans les filtres, les filtres sont toujours vides et n’éliminent pas les insectes et autres à la surface de la piscine comme cela devrait. Piscine jamais clean

Really relaxing for night at Casa Mari Carmen. A really great location giving peace away from the bustle of the Costas yet within easy reach when you want to visit them. Competa is a beautiful village with everything you need for your stay. Would definitely recommend the villa and the area.

Una estancia bastante agradable en Casa Mari Carmen

Hemos pasado unos días muy agradables en Casa Mari Carmen. El exterior de la casa, la piscina, las vistas... estupendas. El interior, bien equipado en general, pero, aunque hay un ventilador para cada estancia, hemos echado bastante en falta una instalación de aire acondicionado para sobrellevar mejor las altas temperaturas de la zona en esta época. La tranquilidad y la privacidad la valoramos altamente, así como la ubicación. Por cierto, nos costó un poco encontrar la casa el primer día, por eso sugerimos concretar más las indicaciones. En resumen, todo bastante bien, estancia agradable y tranquila, con posibilidad de mejora en cuanto a la climatización de la casa, lo cual incluiría un frigorífico más potente para enfriar mejor las bebidas, que en verano apetecen bien frías... Por último, valoraramos positivamente la gestión de la reserva. Gracias y saludos cordiales.
