Riverside Retreat - 1940 Küstenbungalow in New Bern, NC

Willkommen im Riverside Retreat. 1940er Küstenbungalow neu renoviert unter Beibehaltung seines ursprünglichen Charmes. Sehr sauber und einladend. Das Hotel liegt im historischen Riverside Bezirk in der Nähe der historischen Innenstadt von New Bern. Zugang zum Fluss im Gemeindepark. Viele gute Restaurants, Brauhäuser, Antiquitätenläden und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sowie historische Stätten und Unterhaltung.

Mein kleiner Küsten Bungalow ist charmant und komfortabel. Perfekt für Singles und Paare. Aber bitte keine Kinder! Es ist neu renoviert und gut ausgestattet mit allen notwendigen Ausstattungen. Es ist eine schöne Sammlung von alten und neuen, Antiquitäten und zeitgenössischen, Meeresfunden und weltlichen Reisen.

Wonderful stay

We loved our stay here. The house is beautifully decorated and was very well stocked with everything we could possibly need. We especially enjoyed riding the single and tandem bikes. The house is in a great location in a quiet neighborhood within easy biking distance of downtown New Bern. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Stay

Tamara’s coastal bungalow in Mew Bern was absolutely perfect in every way. From the welcome cookies to the cozy charm of a 1940’s home, we could not have been more pleased. The house is decorated superbly and in every tiny detail. We felt at home and thoroughly enjoyed the local area’s history. We would absolutely recommend visiting.

Cozy home away from home

Only have wonderful things to say about this absolutely adorable house! Great location...super clean...nicely decorated...fresh flowers and muffins upon arrival...used the kayaks and bikes that are available. Never disappoints!

I highly recommend this home. This is a lovely home that I rent several times a year. The location is quiet and peaceful but you are right near all the great downtown restaurants and shops. The host is wonderful and New Bern has so much to offer.

Amazing Property and Hospitality

Our stay at the Riverside Retreat was spectacular. Tamara was very welcoming and ensured we were all accommodated. The house was fully stocked with everything you need for a staycation. You truly only needed to bring your clothes and food. My family has stayed in a lot of VRBO properties and this one was second to none. I am a travel luster, mother, wife, speech therapist. I have lived in New Bern for 30 years and absolutely love the area. I moved away 12 years ago to marry a man with four sons. The purchase of this home allowed me the freedom to come back to New Bern regularly and to share my love of the area, as well as my hosting and decorating passions with others.
I have always wanted to do a renovation/restoration project of an old home and this afforded me the opportunity to do so. I am a lover of old homes and all of their charms as well as a collector and picker of interesting furniture and decorative items. This home is a cumulative effort of my pursuits in these areas. I do hope that you will find delight in the decor, amenities, comforts, and charm that this old home and New Bern has to offer.

There was so much that drew me to this home. I love the charm of this Old Southern front porch with its large columns; the detail in the brickwork on the front of the foundation; the hardwood floors; and the old shiplap walls in the closet and bathroom. Its size is perfect for its comfort and coziness. The neighborhood is quiet and quaint. The area is redeveloping and is convenient to Downtown and all of New Bern.

Hardwood floors throughout. High ceilings, beautiful sunlit rooms. Great Southern Front porch. Quaint back yard. Quiet and charming sidewalk neighborhood located in Historic District. 5-minute drive to Downtown. 1.2 miles to downtown, so an easy bike ride or walk. Water access 2 blocks from the house in the way of a small public park where you can picnic, wade, swim, put in a paddleboard, kayak, or canoe. Located a block from the Neuse River.
