Enjoy a traditional bucket and spade day at the seaside on the gloriously golden sands at Sea Palling (8 miles) or Winterton-on-Sea (16 miles), where you might also catch a glimpse of the seals bobbing along the tide. Soak up the medieval atmosphere of the city of Norwich, 13 miles away, with its historic cathedral and plethora of independent boutiques.
