Set in a rural position on the edge of Bodmin Moor, this incredible, family-friendly property offers a versatile place to stay in the Cornish countryside, hosting six guests or much larger groups using neighbouring holiday homes on-site. Peace and tranquillity are assured in this undisturbed location, with the estate leading down to the private banks of the River Lynher and onto quiet country roads offering waymarked footpaths and easy walking routes. Launceston, your nearest town, is around 7 miles away, and you’re also well-positioned for exploring both Cornwall’s North (15 miles) and South (23 miles) coastlines. Discover beauty spots closer to home amongst the rugged beauty of Bodmin Moor, or head up to the Nine Stones Stone Circle (3 miles) on foot or by bike. The area is also loved for its golfing, with Trethorne Golf Club (4 miles) and Launceston Golf Club (7.5 miles) just a short drive away.
Maintained with plenty of original features, this traditionally styled barn is simply teeming with character. Yet, it’s been lovingly updated to host any modern group, complete with an abundance of home comforts and cosy features. Open-plan living awaits upstairs, with the light-filled lounge/kitchen/diner serving as a central hub for all kinds of sociable activities. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your mealtime needs, and a dining table is ready to be set for dinner. The cosy couches in here provide a space to unwind come nighttime, along with a Smart TV. The first of three bedrooms is also upstairs, a welcoming twin. Move downstairs to reach the two remaining bedrooms. One’s a double, and the other is a versatile super-king-size bedroom with a zip-and-link bed providing ample sleeping options. There’s an en-suite bathroom just off this bedroom, and the property’s main family bathroom can also be found on the ground floor.
Take a few steps outside into the large garden, a bright green space lined with trees and beautiful flora. This outdoor area features a furnished patio, a BBQ, and the option to store your bikes should you need it. Guests also have access to a shared games room and fenced communal orchard where dogs can play. Through the gate in the orchard you will have the freedom to explore the additional 20 acres leading down to the river Lynher. Private off-road parking for 3 cars available.
