Weekend away
We booked this apartment for a weekend away trip and loved the look of it from the pictures and description.
On arrival though, we had issues getting into one of the apartments due to being given the wrong key code - this was quickly rectified though.
On opening the downstairs apartment door, you can smell stale cigarette smoke straight away.
The garden is very dirty and nothing like the pictures - we had to try to hose down some of the dirt on the floor tiles (there was no brush to sweep) and the seating area was unusable due to being so damp, mouldy and dirty. There was also a horrible smell in the garden which turned out to be two bins full of food and rubbish which had been left in the sun. These did get emptied by someone the next afternoon.
Two of the beds didn’t have sheets on (one of the beds was remade the next day by someone who was sent over but the upstairs apartment wasn’t touched as he “doesn’t do next door”) and the overall cleanliness of the apartments was sub par - we cleaned the kitchen before using as there was visible dirt and dust everywhere. Toothpaste was left in the sinks in the bathrooms.
There seemed to be a drainage problem as well - the sinks really smelt in the kitchens and were slow to drain; the shower trays would actually fill as you used them so had to wait until the water slowly went down the drain before getting out of the shower; the downstairs bathroom flooded completely; the outside drains were very obviously blocked.
