Perched above rolling Suffolk countryside, this hayloft has been converted into a stylish first floor retreat with its own entrance. Cleverly designed, the living/kitchen/dining area has everything you need to cater at home and you can enjoy a peaceful nights sleep in the cosy bedroom with its en-suite shower room.
ENTRANCE
The front door opens into a small hall with space for footwear and coats before winding up the beautiful hand crafted birch wood staircase to the first floor (if you have any mobility issues please be careful, there is a handrail).
A Juliet balcony gives you uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside from the open plan living space and, with a barn owl often resident above, you may have the most amazing sight as it swoops down at dusk.
There's a sitting area with TV with terrestrial channels (wood burner being installed for winter 2023). The kitchen sits at the other end and is equipped for preparing meals with an oven, two ring hob, under counter fridge, a kettle and a toaster, with a small table and a couple of chairs to you can dine at home. (The sofa is actually a sofa bed which you're welcome to use if you prefer separate rooms but the property is for two guests and extra linen isn't supplied).
BEDROOM
Sitting at the back is a lovely light bedroom with a king size bed sitting under the velux window (with blackout blind), a chair, drawers under the bed and a wardrobe so you can unpack and settle in.
EN-SUITE WET ROOM
Fully tiled with under floor heating and fitted with both a rain and hand-held shower heads, a WC and wash basin.
LOCATION
The Hayloft is set well back from the road up a dirt track where you can enjoy the birdsong and stargaze at night. Walkers will enjoy the maze of footpaths on the doorstep, or venture further to Dunwich forest, Westleton heath, and Minsmere Nature Reserve. The bustling seaside town of Southwold with its pier, lighthouse and independent shops is a short drive; as are the picturesque Aldeburgh and charming Walberswick with unspoilt beaches and dunes. Yoxford itself has a wonderful deli (Black dog) for coffee, cakes and snacks; and nearby Peasenhall has popular Emmett's store with another shop, cafe and smokehouse.
