Camera Sant'Elia - Foresteria di Casa Winspeare

Foresteria di Casa Winspeare is located in the south of Salento region, in the main square of Depressa, a small town not far from Tricase and Santa Maria di Leuca. 

The building was an old house taken over by the Winspeare family in 1885 and then carefully restored, preserving the traditional star vaults and the original classic furniture made by prestigious carpenters of the '800.

The house has 4 elegant bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, shared areas and a nice view on the historic town square, and an exclusive apartment on the ground floor. In front of the building there is also the ancient castle belonging to the Winspeare family since 1400, when, the Duke of Salve (Antonio Winspeare), turned a decadent farm into a noble residence.

The property is also equipped with air conditioning, (underfloor heating and cooling and convector), internet wi-fi (also for smart working activities).


CAMERA SANT'ELIA

Sant'Elia Bedroom is about 18 sq wide, is designed to comfortably accommodate two guests.

It consists of an elegant double bed, a nice bathroom with bathtub and shower, and a small balcony outside.


SHARED AREAS


The shared area is composed of different spaces where you can spend pleasant moments:

- the entrance is furnished with a sofa and a bathroom;
- a small sitting room with a beautiful view of the square;
- a further larger sitting room furnished with armchairs and sofas, a fireplace (not working), and a library;
- an elegant living room with table and furniture, good for small breaks or work activities;
- a well-equipped kitchen available only with the housekeeper (during the morning). 

Finally there is an outdoor shared terrace overlooking the square and the castle, furnished with a table and armchairs.

In addition, and only for the guests, it is possible to visit and enjoy the beautiful garden of the Winspeare castle (only during some hours). It is the ideal place to walk or read a book outdoors, surrounded by the green.

In the garden there are also other varieties of plants including almond, pepper, agaves, maritime pines, fruit trees and a California laurel.

During the stay guests will have the opportunity to book the exclusive WINE GUIDED TOUR at the winery, "CASTEL DI SALVE" founded in 1885 by Antonio Winspeare, and, still today, belonging to the family that continues to carry on the business with passion and dedication. It is located at about 150 meters from the house.

Furthermore at check-in we will give you many tips, maps and useful information: transfer, boat tour, guided tours, restaurant, reservations, activitis to do etc.. in order to improve the quality of your stay.

As mentioned above, the Guesthouse of Casa Winspeare is located in the main square of Depressa town, in the samesquare that hosts the old family castle with its charming garden.

The strategic position allows you to reach easily cafè, tobacco shop, pharmacy, grocery stores, etc.

In addition, just 4 km away, you can reach Tricase, a bigger town full of further services but also traditions, history, and interesting places to visit.

For those who love to walk and discover new places there are many suggestive paths to follow, among these we suggest:

- "Sentiero del Nemico";
- "Quercia Vallonea dei Cento Cavalieri", the oldest and largest oaks located in the south of the region;
- about 7 km from Marina Serra, with its clear waters, high cliffs and wild landscapes, with a famous natural pool;
- about 8 km from Tricase Porto with a small beach, restaurants, bars and promenade.

Finally, just a few minutes driving, we suggest interesting places to visit: Diso (6.5 km), Castro (9.2 km), Specchia (9.3 km) and Poggiardo (11.6 km).
