About the property
Coverdale View is a lovingly restored former church and school house that have been converted into a pair of cottages to offer a group of family or friends flexibility and privacy. Plenty of original character has been retained, while the decor is modern and fresh. There's also the option to book a hot tub as an extra. Nestling in the typical Dales village of Carlton in Coverdale, there are incredible views of the countryside. It's a fantastic location to discover the Yorkshire Dales and beautiful walks can be explored in every direction. The village pub is a fantastic place to reward yourself with a hearty meal afterwards.
The space
Coverdale View comprises two cottages: The Old Chapel (a former church) and The Reading House (a former school house). Original features include the church windows, pitch pine beams and high ceilings, while there are beautiful views of the dale. There is also the option to book a hot tub as an extra in the garden of The Reading House – please contact our Guest Services team for more information.
The Old Chapel
3 Bedrooms / 2 Bathrooms / 6 Guests
The spacious lounge features extra-large sofas, a modern wood burner and a Smart TV. Meanwhile, the farmhouse-style kitchen/dining room incorporates a fully-fitted kitchen with kitchen island with bar stools, a dining table and chairs and a wall-mounted Smart TV.
There is also a utility area with a freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, plus there's a cloakroom with WC.
In addition, the small room with a TV, desk and chair is ideal to catch up on work or for teens to play any gaming consoles that they bring with them.
Upstairs, there are three king-size bedrooms, two of which are zip and link so can be set up as two single beds on request. Each bedroom has a wardrobe, drawer space, and a TV. The master has an en-suite shower room. There is also a family bathroom with a bath and a separate shower.
To the front of the cottage is a small patio with table and chairs, and views of the dale.
The Reading House
3 Bedrooms / 1 Bathroom / 6 Guests

There is also a utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer, plus there's a cloakroom with WC.

To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed patio with table and chairs.
Guest access
The doors will be open with the key in on your arrival and the owners will greet you.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.
Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.
Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you're legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.
