Well-presented flat, bad experience with City Relay management service
The flat seems newly renovated with modern decor, as pictured in the listing. Though it is on a busy road, double windows in all rooms, as well as air-conditioning, mitigated noise. Bed was comfortable and flat was relatively well-appointed (I purchased a drying rack and shoe rack for my long stay). I had a very negative experience with City Relay management services from the start: no key in the lockbox upon arrival, directed to keys at a shop 500 meters away. Staying for 5 weeks, I had two large, heavy bags making this very inconvenient. No key to the rubbish cupboard downstairs provided as indicated until the last week of my 5-week stay (owner was responsible for key replacement). City Relay WhatsApp chat endlessly frustrating: staff responding did not seem to coordinate, unaware of issues previously reported, response inevitably, "we'll pass this on to the relevant team" with no proactive follow-up. Appropriate response only upon multiple phone calls with manager. I encountered a burglar at the building common entrance coming home at 21:45 on a Saturday. Was not threatened but one of two locks remained broken for the last week of my stay. City Relay did not encourage me to contact police, but I filed a report anyway. An astoundingly disappointing level of customer service throughout. City Relay refunded 15% of my rental fee and provided complimentary airport transfer at the end of my stay. Appreciated compensation but I would never again book with their services.
