It also offers easy access to the market towns of Knaresborough with its riverside cafes; Wetherby and Boroughbridge.
The village of Cattal is very accessible by road or rail, with its own station on the Leeds-Harrogate-York line about a mile from the cottage. It also has an excellent public house with a reputation for great food and there are plenty of beautiful country trails by to enjoy when you are ready to walk off your lunch.
The cottage is set in a quiet spot just off the main street of the village, with free on-street parking. There is a lovely south-facing sun terrace at the front, looking out over the gardens to the fields beyond.

Fully renovated in 2020, but still retaining lots of character, the cottage has a wood-burning stove, timber beams, and exposed brickwork.
The front door opens into an open-plan living space, with a sitting area centred on the large traditional fireplace, then on to a modern dining kitchen with plenty of room for preparing and eating family meals, or for entertaining guests during your stay.
Upstairs are two bedrooms, with one double bed and two small single beds in total, both rooms have fabulous country views. The house bathroom has a corner shower.

Whilst we welcome well behaved dogs to the cottage, they are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture downstairs, please also observe the signage around the village relating to private land and use only marked public footpaths when out walking.
Parking is limited to cars and SUVs on the lane. No commercial vehicles.
