The ancient harbour and quay in Ilfracombe are stunning, with numerous bars, shops, and restaurants, as well as frequent live music, providing a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. Take a wildlife tour, a fishing trip, or a boat ride from here to lovely Lundy Island, a natural wonderland that will give you with an amazing experience. Ilfracombe is the starting point for several of England's best walking trails. You will find the scenery beautiful whether you enjoy a quiet promenade walk around Capstone Hill, tackling the tough coastal road, or prefer the river valleys and solitude of Exmoor's moorland highlands. Ilfracombe also has a variety of high-quality restaurants, many of which use local fish on their menus. The communities of Lynton and Lynmouth, with their clifftop railway, are to the east of Ilfracombe, while Clovelly and Hartland are to the west.
