Experience the joy of nature and animals at the Idlewild Animal Sanctuary! Tucked away in the middle of 12 acres, the house on the property is a sanctuary not only for animals but also for people. (We have over 200 rescue animals here! Donkeys, pigs, goats, horses, chickens, sheep and cows). Visit and engage with a variety of abandoned and rescued animals, and maybe even help out during feeding times. Take peaceful walks around our animal fields, enjoy the tranquility of nature and be part of the vital work we do. This property has log burners to keep you cosy and warm during your stay. Please be aware due to the idyllic stone cottage setting the heating is via log burners only. We will provide one bag of logs, but guests will need to supply their own logs. You can either bring them with you, buy locally or from the sanctuary if we have stock onsite and then you can sit back and enjoy the warm glow from the log burners. Extra blankets are also included for those snugly winter months.
Staying here also allows you access to the open garden with panoramic views of the Conwy Valley.
Oh, and it’s pet-friendly too! (Guests with dogs are required to complete a dog etiquette form to protect our free ranging animals on site and for the hygiene of other guests).
There is parking for 1 guest vehicle, due to the Animal Ambulance needing access). Additional vehicles can be parked in the village.
As a self-catering cottage, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay.
The kitchen has a fridge, a hob, an oven, a toaster, a kettle, a freezer and a microwave.
The cottage is a perfect place to relax and has a television. Discover a different kind of paradise in the heart of nature at the Idlewild Animal Sanctuary. Your visit can make a world of difference!

This cottage has 3 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 6.
In the first bedroom, you will find a double bed.
In the next bedroom, there is a double bed.
The third bedroom contains a double bed.


There are 2 bathrooms.
The first bathroom has a toilet and sink and a bath with a shower over it.
The second bathroom is ensuite, has a toilet and sink and a bath with a shower over it.
Although some of our special volunteers with additional needs like autism might find it difficult to interact, they always have the unwavering support of our Sanctuary manager and care coordinator.

Linen, towels, essential toiletries, a hair dryer and an iron are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.

House Rules:
- Check-in time is 3pm and check-out is 9am.
- Smoking is not allowed.
- There are free parking on premises parking facilities available at the property.
- A washing machine is included for your use.
- Pets are allowed at the property, max 2 pets.
- There is a cleaning fee of £30.
