Situated in the beautiful coastal town of Whitby is this well-presented town house with lots of character, waiting for you to take in all of the nearby delights from the convenience of your doorstep. On arrival there are steps leading up to the front door, stepping through into the hallway this room leads into the open plan living area. In this spacious social room, you have comfortable seating around the TV in front of the large windows, then in the centre of the room you have a large dining table seating six, adjacent to the well-equipped kitchen.
This is a great space for unwinding in an evening together. Upstairs you have the king master bedroom on the second floor, with a separate bathroom. Further up the stairs to the top floor you have a twin bedroom, with low level beds beneath the eaves. This floor benefits from a second bathroom which has both a bath and a shower. This tall house also boasts a ground floor utility room which is accessed via a flight of stairs from the open plan living area.
The utility room can also be accessed from outside which makes it ideal for storing beach equipment after a sandy day out, it is spacious enough for paddleboards/ wetsuits/ prams, as well as being handy for washing and drying clothes during longer stays.
From “The Boat Yard”, it is only a 10-minute stroll into the town centre, where there is plenty of things to see and do during your stay. Home to some lovely Blue Flag beaches, why not enjoy a romantic picnic on the golden sands, or take the opportunity to learn a new skill such as surfing? The harbour is bustling with boat trips taking guests on sightseeing ventures across the sea, as well as fishing trips. There is also the replica Endeavour one of Captain Cook’s famous ships, which has a museum onboard as well as a restaurant. From the cobbled old town, the iconic 199 steps lead up to the historic 7th century Whitby abbey.
