Kea, also known as Tzia is one of the closest islands to Athens. There are 4 to 5 ferry boats going to and from the island every day in the summer months. As there are few hotels on the island, mostly private homes are rented out. Most of these homes are built from local stone, giving Kea its unique architectural style.
The maisonette is in the area of Otzia and is in a small complex of 7 houses, each one with its own independent entrance. Otzia has a large sandy beach, of which 1/3rd is organized. There are 2 tavernas near the beach and one mini market "kioski". The beach of Otzia is a 10 minute walk from the maisonette.
