Die erstklassige Lage in North Norfolk ist günstig für die Strände von Wells und Holkham.
Dieses Haus erfüllt alle Anforderungen. Erstklassige Lage, 3 geräumige Schlafzimmer, Bad und separates Duschbad. Es gibt Parkplätze abseits der Straße und einen schönen, gepflegten Garten. Der vordere Aspekt überblickt die offene Landschaft. Das Interieur ist sehr hochwertig eingerichtet und bietet ein perfektes Anwesen für einen Luxusurlaub oder Urlaub.

Stiffkey ist ein idealer Ort, um die Köstlichkeiten von North Norfolk zu erkunden, vom Cottage zum Küstenweg zu Stiffkey Freshers zu gehen und weiter nach Morston & Blakeney zu gehen. Weiter entlang der Küste befinden sich die riesigen Sandstrände von Wells & Holkham und weiter nach Holkham Hall mit seiner schönen Parklandschaft.

Stiffkey selbst ist ein sehr malerisches Küstendorf. Der Fluss Stiffkey ist ein kleiner Fluss mit Kreideforellen. Es gibt viele interessante Feuerstein- und Fliesenhäuser, von denen eines die frühere Heimat des Henry Williamson-Autors von Tarka the Otter, Stiffkey Hall und der Pfarrkirche ist berühmt durch die Rev. Harold Davidson, der Vikar von Stiffkey. Es gibt eine großartige Dorfkneipe, in der Essen serviert wird und die für ihre hervorragenden Hummer- und Krabbengerichte sowie die lokalen Muscheln bekannt ist. Es gibt auch einen hübschen Dorfladen / Feinkostladen, der schönen Kaffee und Kuchen serviert.

Valley View

Lovely cottage situated in a lovely little village. Very clean and with all the things you need for a comfortable week away from home. Useful to have 2 showers also with the 5 of us in the house. House is very close to a good local pub which we went to a couple of times and a great shop nearby for groceries but also homeware and gifts. I would recommend this cottage as great location close to other areas and beaches and lots of nice villages to visit. We will be back for sure!

Lovely cottage in a great location

Very comfortable cottage close to many beautiful places. Excellent pub 3 doors away and friendly neighbours. Had an issue with the dishwasher not working, within minutes of reporting it someone was there trying to fix it. The only minor gripes being the lack of a Nespresso type machine (there is a cafetière however) and the skirting boards were very dusty throughout the house. Would most definitely stay again though.

Great. Most of the week it was just Mum and myself, then my two grandchildren (5 & 6) joined us one night. All very good. Steep steps at the rear probably not suitable for pushchairs/babies. Very clean, great location, good kitchen things.

The location of this place is excellent- it’s got a pub nearly next door, a lovely shop and is a few minutes drive from Wells and various other beaches. We thought the cleanliness wasn’t great- my mum arrived and re hoovered various places as it seemed like it hadn’t had a proper clean in a while. We had taken our own pillows and left them on the floor next to the bed and they looked dirty from just sitting on the floor. The house is very well thought out in various ways- outside is a bbq, crab buckets and lines, buckets and spades. There are a few games and a dvd player but sadly no cable to connect the dvd player to the tv. There are Tupperware boxes in the kitchen and a few pans- one of which doesn’t work on the induction hob. We enjoyed our stay and we may come again as the property was good value!

Good location, comfortable and well presented.

Started with a negative - the keys were wedged in the key lock so tool some time, a phone call to the office and a lot of jiggling to get it open. Cottage is lovely, well presented and comfortable. Its location, central to the coast road, the lovely pub and stores and the salt marshes was great. There were some cleanliness issues - extensive cobwebs on the floor/ skirting areas and previous occupants belongings found on the floor (hairgrip etc) pointing to a quick floor cleaning rather than a more thorough clean. The manual was very helpful when working out some equipment. The small back courtyard garden was lovely to sit over breakfast in the morning.

Valley View - 3 Red Lion Cottages

Lovely cottages and well placed for numerous visits to suit most tastes. Road to the front not noisy so shouldn't put people off. Generally well equipped with empty storage cupboards for our provisions which was great. Milk in the fridge and some tea and coffee to get you started was nice. Also a pack of biscuits, however, when reading the visitors book we were envious at the welcome packs of old!! Only down side was the lack of a large fridge or an freezer. The advert is over generous as the integrated fridge (so space is lost) has a small ice-box. For self catering (we were 50/50) we found the space inadequate and ended up throwing food away mid week. the pub a couple of door away was nice and staff friendly. You'll need to book if going during busy periods. All very quiet and closing time so don't be put off! We'd recommend and stay again if we were in the area. A little pricy but it was Jubilee half term.

Stepping back in time

Valley view was absolutely pristine, putting our own house to shame and fully stocked for all needs and cannot be faulted at all The location is ideal if you are a naturalist because there is a conveniently positioned bench opposite the cottage looking over a water meadow in which we observed 6 hares playing, 2 Chinese water deer grazing, a kite quartering the field, swifts screaming over head and a little owl chilling on the telegraph pole 3 doors down by the pub on our first evening alone!!! There is no noise at all from the hostelry and it offers good standard pub food The area is fantastic with loads of nature reserves to visit, an excellent village shop incredibly well stocked and a Mecca for loads of people to meet up for coffee and generally the pace of life is so much slower and more peaceful I cannot recommend this property strongly enough but hope this review doesn’t lead to too much competition to preclude our return!!

Family holiday

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. It was very well equipped and felt cosy, yet spacious enough to accommodate 3 adults and 2 kids very happily. It’s proximity to the pub next door was great and having the village stores within a short walk was an added bonus. The valley opposite was stunning and we were lucky enough to spot a barn owl one morning not to mention all the hares. The area is beautiful and it was a great place to spend a staycation this summer.

Lovely place but a few things missed

We loved the location of the property, and the garden area and downstairs were lovely. We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed our trip. We had a few issues, including a key forgotten at check in so had to call the property manager out. We felt that the cleanliness of the property was not what we would have expected, there was a strange smell when we arrived, and the carpets upstairs definitely needed a clean. We were disappointed that given the covid situation, there were no cleaning products provided in the kitchen, no hand soap in one of the bathrooms and only two loo rolls for a week's stay. Just some small touches that could have been improved.

Lovely cottage, handy location

This is a fab base for exploring the area, and you can easily walk to the pub and shop in Stiffkey. Cottage nice enough although could have done with a deep clean (very cobwebby in places upstairs for example) and a tidy up of the garden. Cottage is a good size and is well equipped although possibly not suitable for very young children due to steep steps. Our kids are 4 and 8 and they loved it!

Overall good

The entry pad was a little difficult to use but eventually opened. Was a bit stingy with wood for the fire - none supplied and no kindling. Also the welcome pack was rather mean considering the price we paid compared to other places we have stayed over the years. Stiffkey is lovely, great view and nice courtyard to sit in. Good position and found BANG in Wells which was a great cafe. The towel rail fuse blew on the first day and blew the plug fuses - but was able to find the fuse box. The towel rail did not work therefore in the upstairs bathroom. The main bedroom was a bit small and the double bed was a bit small - ie standard size - perhaps should be mentioned

Lovely cottage in Stiffkey

A super cottage which has been tastefully furnished and is well equipped. Sue was easy to communicate with and very helpful. A stunning part of the country within easy reach of all the beautiful villages and coastline. You can walk for miles from the cottage without using the car enjoying the vast horizons. We will definitely want to return. Thank you Sue.
