Outdoor Enthusiasts Paradise

Welcome to Lee Shore! This beautiful, clean cottage, with linen and towel service, is located in the friendly cottage community of Dyers Bay. Known for its spectacular sunrises and close to all of Northern Bruce’s best attractions and world class hiking opportunities. Off in the distance you’ll see the wave-carved Niagara Escarpment towering over the turquoise waters of Georgian Bay, where you can enjoy hours of swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, boating or paddling in the crystal clear waters with magnificent views.

For a perfect fireside evening, guests can enjoy a fire inside or out in the private backyard adorned with strings of soft lighting and tall trees. A perfect location to hear the crackles of the fire, and sounds of local wildlife near by. Fires may also be enjoyed along the shores of Dyers Bay.

Up a wooden staircase, guest will find a large open loft bedroom with tall cathedral ceilings, guest closet and walk out romeo juliet style balcony with two muskoka chairs. A great place to unwind with views of Dyers Bay, hear the waves and enjoy your favourite beverage, with spectacular star gazing on clear nights.

The bathroom is located on the main floor adjacent to a bedroom with a queen bed and walk out to the beautiful backyard. Guests may have the unique experience of seeing a beautiful red fox stroll by and will wake to the singing of many species of birds that travel through Bruce's major northern migration route. A bird watcher’s paradise.

The 3rd bedroom features a twin bunk bed and dresser, and for our younger guests board games, puzzles, cards, dominos, a wii, children's books, and plenty of lego and kinex to keep kids entertained on rainy days.

We believe the kitchen is the heart of the home, so ours is fully equipped. Meals can be made in the double oven, stove, outdoor bbq, instant pot, slow cooker or Tfal actifry…. or for special occasions with our raclette grill sets and fondue.

As our water is treated with UV & particle filtration, it's safe for drinking and delicious.

Our kitchen has a wide variety of newly purchased in and outdoor dishes, high quality pots and pans, bowls, glass storage containers, casserole dishes, baking sheets, serving platters, chip & dip tray, cheese grater, magic bullet, measuring cups & spoons, salad spinner, wine aerator, soda streamer, juice pitcher & milk pitchers, cream & sugar container, tea infuser, ice cube trays, corn on the cob holders, meat thermometer, toaster, a large variety of utensils and knives, plenty of glasses, cups and mugs.

Lee Shore also has a Ninja Speciality Coffee maker with milk frother to help start your day with a fresh cup of brew, along with a kettle and teapot. Guests are welcome to sample our coffee and teas, but encouraged to bring from home as well.

Guests have various dining options. The back deck, with soft evening lighting, has a table for 6 under a gazebo near the outdoor fire pit and bbq. The large front lower deck is perfect for breakfast or lunch, where humming birds frequently visit. Inside guests can eat at a dining table for 4, with the option of a 2nd table and 2 folding chairs for families of 6.

For your enjoyment, Lee Shore cottage has:
- A guest welcome basket
- 2 smart TVs with Netflix & YouTube access

- Boards games and cards
- Puzzles with a puzzle mat

Things to do in Dyers Bay….

Beach access is located directly across the street. There is no public parking near our cottage, so you will most likely have the beach to yourself! Hike the famous Bruce Trail located ½ km from the cottage or cycle the shoreline road to the Cabot Head Light House (open to cycle and foot traffic only) While there, you can hike or ride to Wingfield Basin for a quick swim or picnic with the perfect backdrop of the Niagara Bluffs and waters of Georgian Bay. Enjoy hours of fun with your family jumping and diving off the near by public dock, or launch your boat and venture out to explore the scenic views of the Bruce Peninsula shorelines.

For a winter getaway, we are blessed with large amounts of snow, and bare hiking trails. Snowshoeing (2 adult sets available) can be done right along the water, or cross country ski and snowmobile along the near by trails. Be sure to check out the Grotto during the winter for a whole new perspective!

Bringing Your Boat

For guests interested in bringing their boat or skidoos. The driveway has 2 large parking spots with room to park a boat and vehicle, with a 3rd additional parking spot on the side of the road. The government dock is free to launch off, but please read the Bruce municipality website for details and information.

Amazing - 5 Star plus accomodations!
This cottage feels like home the minute you enter. Although my home is never as clean, organized and as well stocked as this rental was. Everything was beyond my expectations from the moment we booked to when we left the property. The owners are fantastic and have thought of everything to make your stay an unforgettable vacation. Truly a perfect getaway and so close to Tobermory, Manitoulin Island and much more. Thank you Rene and Karin!

We love the Bruce and are always excited to share our cottage with guests so they too can experience the many attractions the Bruce Peninsula has to offer. All the tourist attractions are within a 2-20 minute drive as Dyers Bay is located half way between Lion's Head and Tobermory. We always feel so relaxed because the outdoor beauty there refreshes the soul. It's like no other place in Canada, and has become a top travel destination.

Rene grew up in New Brunswick, has 3 older children and has been a French phys ed elementary teacher for 20+ years. I am from Holland, grew up on a dairy farm near Stratford and love working with children as well. I became a mom through foster care by adopting my wonderful son. He loves searching for rocks, bugs and wildlife, jumping off the dock and swims like a fish at the cottage.

As we are avid campers, and love the outdoors, we decided to look for a cottage in early 2021. I had always wanted to buy in Muskoka, but that all changed when we found Dyers Bay! It's such a wonderful, quiet, friendly community! Most families there have owned for decades. Dyers Bay is believed to have been the first place French explorers settled in the Bruce. It's a small strip of land located between the water and 150ft tall escarpment that protect it from northerly and westerly winds. You can watch the sunrise over the water (I highly recommend getting up early for that!), or set over the escarpment

Since purchasing the cottage, a lot of renovations and upgrades have been done. We're always looking for ways to improve our guests' experience (as well as our own lol) Soon our sauna will be up and running. We can't wait! We pride ourselves on cleanliness, and each guest gets a welcome basket to start their vaca with a smile.

If you're reading this and have questions, feel free to contact Rene any time. We'd be honoured to have you stay as a guest for your next special getaway!
