Convenience vs. Comfort

This property (unit on 2nd floor) is perfectly located to get to Broadway and the surrounding areas. However...if you value sleep, this is not the place to stay. The bars on the street level below play until 3am. You WILL hear this and traffic as it is facing the street. We were not made aware that we were facing 4am construction noise directly outside of the condo unit, as they are redoing the entire block of 2nd Ave. The room was very nice but needs to be cleaned better. The bedding and mattress weren't comfortable. Pros: Excellence location, roomy unit, pictures are accurate Cons: Noisy area, parking could be an issue if your can't get into the garage ($40/daily), beds are hard and comforters were lumpy, bathroom needs better attention (dirty grout). Hard to get extra towels after multiple requests.

Everything it showed, but dirty and poorly maintained

Very unique listing (once you could contact them 3 times to get the correct listing), nice price, secure building. Very poorly maintained or cleaned. Could be a really amazing stay if they would just clean and maintain it better

Awesome location!

This place could not be in a better location. The convenience of getting to everything was awesome! The only negative, with this convenience comes the noise of the bands, so understand that this noise will not stop until all the bars are closed. The owner does provide noise machine and ear plugs, so that helped a ton. With that said, we would definitely stay there again!

Great place - some room for improvement

Overall excellent place - great location and very clean. Really liked the decor and furnishings - first rate and very tastefully decorated. I would suggest ceiling fans in the bedrooms as they tended to get hot. Cable TV should be standard - not sure why this is not hooked up to cable. During our stay Wifi wasn’t working and could not connect to Chromecast or Roku - these should be standard fare for this high quality property. Otherwise, fantastic and would recommend.

Misleading and Very Poor Support

Sonder will give you the impression that they are a high-end rental group with quality properties. While there are good aspects to this property, our stay was frustrating and the Sonder people's happy talk could not fix the problems. Five days and almost $3,000. The four of us were pretty comfortable but here are the issues: [1] No Internet. We received an email the day before we arrived stating that there was a problem with the internet but they were striving to get it fixed. Fair enough. But the entire building's internet was down - no email, no searching on line, no working TV. In this day and age, this is serious stuff. We used our phones as hot spots but that was seriously insufficient. They offered a $50 discount on a FUTURE rental from them. I had made the reservation and so I spent at least two hours on the phone with them over several days. Eventually, after getting VRBO involved, they offered us almost 7% refund. We took it. Hopefully it will show up in the next two weeks. [2] Arrival instructions. We were supposed to receive check-in instructions a couple of days before arrival, but I did not know that. On the day we flew in I still had not gotten instructions and so I called. This took an hour for the person on the other end to get permission to give us instructions, while we are waiting out on the sidewalk with our luggage. All the people who answered the phone for Sonder had their cute voices in gear and tried to make happy talk but that just made me angry. They blamed it on "third parties" - like VRBO. Well, if they have that problem, shouldn't they fix it? [3] Location.We didn't understand the area we were getting into. That end of Broadway is filled every night with immature, barely 21 girls screaming and vomiting outside. On the first floor of the building is a honky tonk trying to compete with all the other places, with the volume turned up to 11 until past midnight. Regrettably we were unaware that up on the top shelf of the closet were white-noise generators. So they do know about this problem. That said, it's just down the street from where the bomb went off last year and the reconstruction still has a long way to go with the associated traffic issues. (this adds a degree of difficulty when getting a Lyft ride. The place itself was very clean. Plenty of towels. Unfortunately in the 1.5 baths there was almost no place to hang the towels. The door to the full bath was falling off. And
