Mountain Thunder Lodge | Ski-In or Gondola to Peaks 7 & 8!

Feel welcomed at our recently updated condo in the heart of all the action at Breckenridge! There is something for everyone all year round!

Just a short walk to town, delightful restaurants and the gondola, you’ll find endless entertainment. For skiers, the gondola will escort you to either peak 7 or 8, and when you’re ready, ski home down the 4 o’clock run. Stow your skis in the private locker as soon as you enter the building.

The resort offers a shared 4 season outdoor pool, 5 hot tubs around the property, BBQ stations, 2 fitness centers, and a shuttle. Our sister property offers a private movie theatre, bowling alley, indoor pool, and more!! For summer guests, there are countless activities and attractions from leisurely mountain walks to adventure biking, the Gold Runner Coaster, alpine sliding, tubing, fly fishing, horseback riding, even mining for gold!! Take advantage of as many resort amenities and nearby attractions as you wish!

The living room is furnished with a sofa sleeper, Smart TV, gas fireplace and provides balcony access. End the night with your favorite Netflix, Hulu, or Disney + specials with the cozy fireplace going and some hot cocoa! In the morning, enjoy your coffee out on the balcony with the crisp mountain air.

The kitchen is great for homecooked meals and provides an oven, full size refrigerator/freezer, drip coffee maker, blender, toaster, dishwasher, electric stovetop, and more. The dining table has seating for 6.

There are 2 bedrooms to chose from when it's time to call it a night. The main bedroom has a King bed, smart TV, workspace, and an en suite bathroom. The en suite bathroom has dual sinks, a shower/tub combo, and a separate shower. The 2nd bedroom has a Queen bed and a smart TV as well. A third Queen sleeper sofa unfolds before the living room fireplace and smart TV. There is a shared full bathroom available with a shower/tub combo.

Loved it at the Mountain Thunder Lodge

We had a great stay! Loved the location close to town and the gondola. Huge plus that you could ski to it at the end of the day. emailed the property management company with questions a couple of times and never heard back from them.

We have stayed at Mt Thunder Lodge many times and loved it. This unit however, is not in the main Building 1, but it it Building 5. The ski-in run goes directly to the back-door of Bldg 1, as is the hot tub overlooks this ryn too. To get to Bdg 5 from the run, you must either walk thru, or around the Main bdlg, and down the street. The Main Bdlg 1 has the lobby...guest services... We took the shuttle to and from the lifts each day. The actual condo unit had someones ski hat on the bench, trash on the mantle, and dirty dishes that were in the cabinets. We ran all the dishes we were going to use through the dishwasher the 1st night. Upon check-in, you must go to outside lockers in the round-about at the Village. They wouldn't let my husband wait for me to jump out to get keys, so he had to drive around while I waited for him to return. Not that big of a deal, but the wrong keys were in our box, they had Beaver Run keys in it. Luckily there was also housekeeping keys in the box so we used those. Someone from the agency came to bring us new ones about an hour later. The unit itself was fine, except the hot tub for this building is a little walk around the building, and the coffee pot is older with just an on/off switch. We will make sure we stay in Bldg 1 next time.

Great ski in condo near Gondola and clean.

The short walk to the gondola and Main Street was nice. Condo was clean and quiet. Check in process could use an update. We did not receive the welcome email with the check in details and the front desk wasn’t able to provide us with any information.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Mountain Thunder Lodge. From the time we checked in until we checked out the host would check to see if we needed anything. The condo was very clean and spacious. Bonus was being able to use the “sister” properties extra amenities, bowling alley, pool table and movie theater without any extra cost. All you have to do is call their front desk and request a reservation.
