Hidden among the lush branches of Mediterranean green, this newly renovated coastal home will ease your soul. Located inside Forest Park Marjan, halfway between the old Palace and beautiful beaches, it is perfect for exploring the cultural legacy, enjoying the city vibe, and basking in the surrounding nature. The nearest beach and restaurant are only 800 meters away, with two more beaches within 2 km distance, and a pizza place and a grocery store just 200 meters down the street.

The space
The master bedroom features two solid beds, and a sofa in the spacious living room stretches to fit two more adults or children, which makes our home a perfect fit for a group of four. The fully equipped kitchen features a country-style cooking and dining area leading to a cosy, west-oriented balcony in the canopy of a laurel tree, while the main terrace facing south reveals a true hidden jewel of this apartment hidden in the canopy of a linden tree. In that pleasurable corner, an outdoor living room awaits you to leave all worries behind, whether as you are having your morning coffee or an evening cocktail. A window in the shower lets the forest into the bathroom, making your everyday rituals something to look forward to.

Guest access
Free public parking is available on the sight, both behind, and in front of the house (on the same side of the street, beneath the trees). Note that parking is not allowed on the opposite side of the street in front of the house.

Hi! I am a mother of two, born and raised in Zagreb, the nation's capital, and moved to Split 20 or so years ago when I fell in love with my husband, and consequently this beautiful city. I am a journalist by vocation and was working for a regional newspaper but got overwhelmed by a corporate mindset so I opted for a different path to professional and personal fulfilment. I began hosting our family properties to support and nurture mindfully creative practices such as writing, photography and painting that bring me joy; and to meet wonderful people from around the globe. I love long walks, and generally the outdoors, particularly our little corner of Korcula Island wilderness, where I try to spend as much time as possible.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

When I first came from Zagreb to visit my husband's home in Split, I instantly fell in love with this neighbourhood. He often jokes about how he wonders if I would have chosen to move to Split if he had taken me to a different part of the city :). For me, and many others, especially locals, the part of the Spinut where your apartment is located is the nicest part of the city. Placed inside the protected area of the Park forest Marjan, surrounded by lush greenery, this unique, quiet location is a little hidden slice of haven. Our house is located among other smaller family homes, solidly and beautifully built mostly in the 70s, away from large building blocks and skyscrapers, in a neighbourhood where the trees are larger than buildings. Just outside of our yard begins a pleasant boulevard which stretches around the Park forest, and offers many beautiful beaches. Besides swimming, or sunbathing in the summer, you can enjoy a walk, or a bike ride, as the public rental bike station is located at the entrance of the Park. You could also just sit on the bench in the forest and take in the scents and the sounds of the Mediterranean :)
A pleasant walk, only 2 km long in the opposite direction will take you through the heart of the old city, to the Palace, where you can appreciate the famous Roman legacy and explore many shops, bars and restaurants to get the taste of the city vibe.

We believe that our home, while providing all the comforts of modern-day lifestyle, still holds the allure of traditional Mediterranean living. it is furnished and decorated with a homey mix of vintage, heirloom furniture combined with some newer pieces that all play together to create that lived-in, earthy, coastal vibe associated with the seaside vacation mood. My personal favourite is, quite obviously, the lounge area on the south-facing veranda, hidden in the Linden tree branches, as I have enjoyed so many beautiful moments of three relaxation and restoration there. And, perhaps a less obvious one - a shower with a window overlooking those same lush branches that makes the basic hygiene activities feel quite special.
