Pine & Paper is a luxurious creative retreat nestled in the peaceful pines just minutes from downtown Payson. It's the perfect setting to work on your novel, spend time with family, experience the outdoors, escape the Phoenix heat, or just relax and unwind. As you sip your morning coffee from the wraparound balcony, you might catch a glimpse of the elk that visit the property nearly every day at dawn and dusk. Then dive into your favorite book as you sway in a hammock overlooking the pines.
This one-of-a-kind escape was designed with creativity, relaxation, fun, and togetherness in mind. Each room was inspired by an author, including Laura Ingalls Wilder, Ernest Hemingway, Zane Grey, L. Frank Baum, Shel Silverstein, Louisa May Alcott, and George Orwell.
The living area boasts a curated collection of literature including children's classics, political philosophy, gripping thrillers, insightful memoirs, and much more. Everyone in the family is sure to stumble on one of their favorite authors as they browse Pine & Paper's shelves.
Aspiring writers and traveling professionals will appreciate the large built-in desk with two workstations. Desktop monitors are provided so guests can connect their laptops and view their work on multiple screens, whether it's a creative project, college paper, or a corporate presentation. The vintage typewriter at the second workstation offers guests a glimpse through the eyes of writers from generations past.
Pine & Paper's guests are invited to exercise their bodies as well as their minds. The property includes a private workout space with free weights and a Peloton. The stationary bike is positioned in front of a large window with a view of the pines that would inspire the most sedentary among us to do some cardio.
For guests who prefer fresh air and sunshine with their workout, there are multiple walking trails nearby. It's just a short drive from some of Arizona's most popular hiking spots, fishing holes, OHV trails, and other outdoor attractions, including the Tonto Natural Bridge.
The backyard Zen garden is the perfect spot to nurture spiritual wellness. Guests can truly disconnect and immerse themselves in the peaceful surroundings, intentionally experiencing the sights, scents and sounds of nature.
Though the property is just minutes from Payson's best restaurants, guests may choose to nurture another type of creative expression in the home's modern, luxuriously equipped kitchen. The open concept living, cooking, and dining space is perfect for bringing different generations together to share in the joy of food.
The spacious layout with multiple living areas and a wide range of activity options makes Pine & Paper the perfect retreat for multigenerational families. In addition to the main living room with a huge TV, plush leather couches, and wood-burning fireplace, there is a second living space downstairs, where families can gather to enjoy board games and foosball, or begin their next work of art at the large easel.
