Designer-appointed lakeside cottage w/ firepit, dock & kayaks

This completely updated lakeside cottage features a modern farmhouse vibe with original shiplap walls, a large clawfoot tub, vaulted ceilings and a stunning view of Lake McQueeney.

And since this property is all about peace and "quiet", each sleeping space is outfitted with the extra comfy beds and linens. Just under 1,000 square feet, this cozy cottage features a bedroom with a luxury queen mattress and a twin built-in bunk bed that closes to the rest of the space with a large sliding barn door; a sleeping loft with two XL twin beds (no privacy door) and a sleeping porch with two additional twin beds (no privacy door). A wall of windows off the back of the house offers a serene view from every room of the home! The large dining table that seats six is perfect for family dinners or game night.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need for your stay including a gas range, dishwasher, coffee pot and ground coffee, French coffee press, crock pot, microwave, toaster and lots of wine glasses safe for taking down to the lake. The refrigerator and washer/dryer are located on the enclosed utility porch. The farmhouse style bath includes 66-inch claw-foot bath (original to the home). Two comfy couches and a flat-screen TV with cable and Netflix help make this a family-friendly getaway.

Take the stairs down to the lake where you'll find 100-year old cypress trees that provide a canopy to the hot sun. A large boat dock (lift and boat bay are not available to guests for docking a boat) is the perfect place for your morning coffee or a glass of wine. A handy ladder on the side of the dock is available for those who need assistance in entering and exiting the water. A small dining table and four chairs sit on the lawn for lakeside lunches. Enjoy cruising the lake in our kayaks or swinging in the hammock as you take in the gorgeous view!

This little piece of paradise is tucked away at the end of a quiet street overlooking Lake McQueeney. The little cottage is the perfect getaway for relaxing. Enjoy mornings with your coffee on the dock while you watch ducks swim by and sightings of our favorite neighborhood heron. The towering cypress trees that line along the bank are over 100-years old and provide a perfect shady canopy to the Texas heat. Swim, float or cruise around in our complimentary kayaks.

Sitting around our gas fire pit that overlooks the lake is a peaceful way to finish your day! A large outdoor farm table with 10 bistro chairs is the ideal place for family gatherings al fresco. A gas grill is available for use and is also under the covered patio.

With a large front and backyard, there is plenty of room for a game of croquet, washers or tag. If the weather happens not to cooperate, there are board games, cards, books and puzzles inside and plenty of cozy nooks for reading or taking a nap.
