The good:
1. GREAT location.
2. Very spacious.
3. Gerard, the host, was friendly.
4. Off street parking with automatic gate.
The bad:
1. The place needs a lot of minor repairs. eg: All the doors need to be manhandled to close/open.
2. The dishwasher beeped the whole time we were there, and no way to turn it off. Gerard said he'd send someone over, but nobody ever showed up. Drove us crazy.
3. The Wi-Fi is very weak and stopped working altogether the last two days.
4. The back porch would have been a pleasant place to hang out, but it hadn't been cleaned in a while.
5. The couches and chairs in the common spaces were uncomfortable
Other:
1. The neighborhood was fine for us and we had no issues. But if guests aren't used to inner city neighborhoods, they might feel uncomfortable. AGAIN: we had NO issues, and everybody we talked to was friendly...
2. Recommend looking at a map to get familiar with the one way streets around the property. The parking is to the side. To get to it required some planning...
3. The property has three keys. The keys open various locks, obviously. The doors also had sliding bolts. Getting in and out was a puzzle to determine what needed to be unlocked and which bolts slid which way.
4. The light switches were oddly placed, sometimes inside the room, sometimes outside the room...
Would we stay there again? Probably, the charm and location of the place make up for the other issues.
