No pride in ownership whatsoever!

My family and 5 other couples decided to book this spot for a weekend to getaway for the weekend. Prior to getting there, the owner texts me a day before telling me the BBQ cover was broken by the previous guest but the ‘BBQ still worked’. Now a majority of our food was meant for the bbq (marinated meat, skewers, etc) But he had reassured us the bbq worked so we didn’t pay much mind to it. Also told us a few beds were damaged and broken by previous guests so he decided to throw a mattress on the floor for us. Upon arrival, the interior of the property was very disgusting. I’m assuming he pays people to clean this place but they do not do a good job at all. 3 of the families had infants and we could not let them crawl on the floor. We decide to fire up the bbq but owner fails to mention a majority of the bbq cover was glass…meaning no heat could retain and 3 out of the 5 burners DID NOT WORK. Like I said, a majority of our food was meant for the bbq but it was impossible to use. Contacted the owner regarding this and he said there was nothing he could do as he ‘lives far’. Pool and hot tub were not at great levels for swimming, they did not seem clean as well. We contacted owner regarding a partial refund and at first he seemed like he was willing to work with us but it’s been a few weeks and he hasn’t responded to any of my texts. Save yourself the hassle and book elsewhere. He was hardly available when we were there regarding issues. (There were more)

Grande maison idéale pour vacances familiales

La maison est très grande et permet à tous les invités de trouver un endroit calme. Le jacuzzi et la piscine ont été appréciés par les jeunes et moins jeunes. Nous avons pu cuisiner, relaxer et visiter Kingston, Ottawa et les Mille îles qui ne sont pas trop loin. A noter qu'il n'y a pas de ramassage de poubelles et que les déchets doivent être déposés à une des 3 déchetteries avoisinantes dans des sacs à acheter sur place.

We made a VRBO account so we could book this place for Christmas this year!

Know before booking: Kitchen layout is great! If you are cooking for a large group, it allows for several cooks in the kitchen. There is a full-sized double oven. The kitchen cleaning supplies we found were sensible. The drawers were “disorganized”. We expect this with cottage rentals because all the guests that come before, but they also often leave staples behind as well! No tankless hot water supply. Stagger showers and bathes in large groups. The internet testing we did during our stay gave results between 4-15 MB/s Down and 0.8-1.5MB/S Up. Another reviewer mentioned watching the world cup so the speeds we saw were likely due to the big winter storm during which we stayed. The host is not a resort manager. They work and are busy. Harvir responded to all of our questions, but there were delays. This is understandable given how busy work can get around the holidays. What we liked: The price, spaciousness, big bright windows all over the house, outdoor firepit, nice hot tub, functional kitchen, an impressive home gym, and layout. The central area of the house comprises three common areas: The eat-in kitchen, the dining room, and one of the house’s living rooms. Large groups will have space to spread out and easily flow together between these different areas. There are other living/tv/sitting rooms away from the main hub. The noise insulation is done relatively well, and the house is so big that sound was not an issue. Nobody woke up grumpy from interrupted sleep! Water is clean and potable. Pressure is good. Bathrooms and showers are comfy spaces. The bathtub and hot tub were very much appreciated after hikes along the K&P trail (which you can access just a minute or two walk down the highway). There is a well-supplied grocer 4KM down the road, plus general store, HH, liquor stores, and gas stations. Roads were cleared and salted early and frequently. Ultimately, our large, multigenerational family was very comfortable here and the space worked nicely. While there will be a few small things here and there, hosting large groups of people has always been that way for us and we were able to switch off “work mode” almost immediately and enjoy the lovely grounds and each other’s’ company. The atmosphere of the home and the surrounding nature feels peaceful and comfy, which is always a good ingredient for big get-togethers!

Amazing property

Great place for large family gatherings. Beautiful property inside out. Plenty of space for kids to have fun. We enjoyed staying here for the holidays.

We planned our graduation party at the location and we booked property for two Nights.

We planned our graduation party at the location and we booked property for two Nights.Overall, Experience was excellent. House is very beautiful.. we all 20 people enjoyed the fifa World Cup final in beautiful basement with huge TV. Also there was gym in basement which allow us to do some exercise in the morning. We feel bad that we didn’t enjoy the pool and other outdoor activities Due to winter.However, we are planning to book the place agin in summer.. Communication with owner was very easy and he replied immediately for our questions and quarries This place is awesome if your looking for family time or Time with your friends. Thank you Mr Harvir for being such a great host and we look forward to book the place again

I bought this property because of its unique look and the land that came with it. The property is sitting on 77 acres of land so you never have to worry about being too loud. The property also has a gorgeous exterior which makes it great for hanging outside. The large yard make it great for games/sports and the pool is an amazing way to cool off. At night time everyone get together and sit around the fire pit and share some good laughs.
