This is a "mother-in-law" apartment attached to a house with another non-VRBO rental unit. It did not feel very private because the landlord did not want to give us a key, so the doors were left unlocked when we were not there. Also, several windows did not have shades, so people on the property could see in. There was a large street light outside the bedroom window and the sheers on the windows let in enough light at night to seem like daylight. The second night, the landlord offered to duct-tape some black-out shades over the windows. The shades had all fallen off my morning and we did not ask for them to be put up. We bought sleep masks for the light. After the first day's showers, the tub was not draining and filling with water. We bought our own drain cleaner to dissolve hair clogs and the drainage was better the second day. The landlord is in the process of digging and moving earth near the apartment to make a "grotto". There was no noise from this, but some people might not like the look of the construction near the apartment. The landlord has several dogs that barked at us every time we drove up or left, but they did not offer to bite. Some people might be nervous with the barking. The floor layout is a little odd. There is no direct access to the bathroom from the bedroom. There is a sliding pocket door that goes from the bedroom to the kitchen where you can get to the bathroom. The pocket door does not slide easily and opens only half-way in the door opening. You have to squeeze through the opening to pass. One good items is a large hi-def smart TV in the bedroom with included Netflix. There is no TV in the living room. The owners were friendly, but several upgrades need to be finished before it is a highly-rated property.
