This owner did not have a key in the lock box! She stated the last guest must have took it with them and the key box wasn’t a secure one. She never tried to bring another key or anything! There were bugs on the beds I have pics for proof and she refused to return my payment because a piece of paper was in the trash can and we left the same night due to us having no key for our security or safety! How was we supposed to leave the house if we couldn’t lock the door with our belongings inside so we left after booking a hotel into the city! The property was very far away from everything. This has been since March and I’m still fighting for my money back! So please do not rent from her!

Beware before booking!

I arrived to the VRBO for early check in at 2:30pm (that I paid an additional $50 for), when we arrived at 2:35pm there was a car in the drive way so we did not know what was going on, after 10 minutes I finally decided to go in and ask, it was somebody who had just finished cleaning the home and said we could go in now and just handed us the key without locking up the house or shutting the front door (door handle leading in is also broken). Which is fine, but I did pay additional money for it to be done by 2:30pm and it was not finished. When walking in there was an odd smell to the home, kind of just a dirty smell. The floors were extremely sticky and we did not feel comfortable to take off our shoes, we thought it may be because she had just cleaned the home but the stickiness lasted the entire stay. The home was okay, but not as clean as it should be, the base boards were very dirty, and a lot of the house seemed to be “halfway” put together. The beds were awful quality, as well as the pillows. One of the rooms only had one pillow on the bed. Also a lot of the windows were wide open when we arrived, the back door is covered by curtains and we did not know the door was completely open until around midnight which made us feel very unsafe. We were okay with all of this and decided it’s only a one night stay it’s not a big deal, we slept in the home from about 1am till 7:30am. Disappointed

Barhrooms need complete overhaul. Minimal utensils. Cupboard doors coming off. Blinds in many cases need replacing. Not enough living room setting for more than 3 comfortably.

Overall good

The location was easy to find And The house is spacious. The door is kinda hard to open since the lockbox is on the front door. I took away a star for it being leftover Valentine’s Day balloons from previous guests on Feb 23. Everything else was clean.
