My grandparents bought this incredible property originally built in1957 and '68 they finished the large addition. Generations of family and friends have enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and beautiful landscape. I've been riding dirt bikes out here my entire life.
Experience something magical, original, and far from trendy. Relax, unplug, find peace, have a fire, & create some unforgettable memories. Enjoy modern touches such as: CA King bed, large hot tub, AC/heat, and free wifi. All are welcome at Casa de Conejo.
There are miles upon miles of open Bureau of Land Management (BLM) trails right from the house! It's ORV heaven. When you come back from a long day the hot tub will soothe your bones. The house is gated, private, and a gas station is at the end of the road about 1mile away.

If you're looking for something original, you found it!
My grandparents bought this house and the surrounding 5 acres decades ago and I've been coming here from when I was in my mothers belly. When I was a child it was a giant playground and as an adult, it became even more sacred and special. As an artist it breathes profound life into my photography, music, and gives tremendous peace to my soul.
My parents used it as a vacation home and now I am excited to call it my own! It's an honor to be able to keep my grandfathers legacy going and to now share it with others.

A very quiet, spacious, and open layout with tons of style and curated artifacts. Hints of Mexico run throughout the house, paying homage to my Hispanic heritage mixed in with the mid-century esthetic of the late 50's and 60's complimenting the original architecture. Take a walk back in time.

_The Land_
Surrounded by rolling hills, the house is tucked away far off the street and very private. There is an undeniable positive energy as you walk the open 5 acres. Countless friends guests feel and experience this as well, it's probably the main reason I myself love being there as much as possible.
_The Property_
I grew up riding dirt bikes, chasing lizards, cottentails, and playing in the desert with my siblings. This property has been in my family for 4 generations! I now have two daughters of my own who do the same things I did as a kid.
_The Hot Tub_
The 65 jet large 5 person hot tub sits in the back patio that is very private. Watch the sunset and enjoy the night sky sitting under the stars. Please read my guidelines for hot tub use.
_The Bedroom_
Enjoy the very spacious room and sink into the huge California King size bed with a top of the line Tuft & Needle mattress and pillows. A matching West Elm mid-century modern bedroom set compliments many of the artifacts imported from Mexico. Make use of the full closet and full length mirror.
There are blackout curtains on the east sliding glass window to help you sleep in and rest well. A BOSE bluetooth speaker is available for your musical needs as comfort and rest are of the utmost importance while experiencing the high desert.
_The Living Room_
Enjoy a working potbellied wood burning stove with a very comfy large corner couch to sink into. Huge windows facing east let the morning sunlight in. A vintage stereo system and console (that belonged to my other grandfather) with a vintage record player and plenty of vinyl gives a great sound track to your stay. Mini splits provide AC for the summer and cozy heat for the winter.
_The Kitchen_
Pull up an orange stool and hang out at the bar while sipping on coffee or a cocktail. Or sit at the dining table and peer out the window and you might see a road runner or a group of quail near the two Yucca's.
_The Den_
There's a hide-away bed for guests and a quiet place to sit or read. A classical guitar awaits for you to serenade your lover :)
_El Baño_
All original retro sink, shower, and tub add more character including saloon doors to bring out your inner cowperson and original tile work from 1968.
_Cleaning_
100% of the cleaning fee goes to the fantastic local team who clean my place!
To fully experience the high desert and settle in a bit, I would recommend a 3 night stay minimum, you'll always wish you had one more day!

In conclusion:
I believe in quality over quantity and the idea that less is more. No shortcuts were taken and every detail was well thought out while creating Casa de Conejo. I am very happy with making my vision come to life and the way it's turned out. I am excited to share this special place with you and your guest(s).
My grandfathers home and surrounding land has been my sanctuary my entire life and I am incredibly grateful to now call it my own. It's a place I often visit to get grounded, retreat from the busyness of life, play, and to find bit of peace. I absolutely love it and I hope you do too.
I hope you can truly rest, rejuvenate, get grounded, find some peace of your own, and experience the magic of the Mojave desert.
Truly,
-Chris
