Beautiful backyard, choppy, small house.
The backyard was beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed the evenings outside. We loved the stream, which was shallow enough for children to play in and the wooded yard. Absolutely beautiful!! The grill was connected to a house propane tank so no need to worry about running out propane. Wonderful fire pit with chopped wood provided.
The things that we did not like about the house may not be a problem for others but guests should be aware before booking. The house was clean but the outside of the cupboards were greasy.
The house has had several additions and is very choppy. The bedrooms are small and crowded.
The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom BUT there is not a wall to separate the toilet from the bedroom. Basically, the toilet has a view of the bedroom. BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF PRIVACY THIS BATHROOM IS NOT VERY USEABLE. The kitchen dining area is small..
We were a family of 10 and dining was very crowded.
Only two bedrooms had air conditioning which probably is not a problem most of the time but because of record high temperatures we needed the air conditioning. The host did provide fans which helped but the bedrooms were hot!
Lastly, the upstairs loft bedroom has not been completely floored. Half of the loft bedroom does not have a floor, just 4 or 5 beams. There is a rail and dresser to keep people from falling into the living-room below. I am surprised this passed safety inspections as children could climb the railing and easily fall to the living room below.
The upstairs family room was large and perfect to congregate in. It has a TV, large sectional sofa, game table and foosball.
