On its approach you cannot help but marvel at the aesethics and architectural features – the Stucco porch with Tuscan pilasters, ground floor bay windows with north-east facing sash windows over private grounds. Inside, this home’s character shines through with beautiful restored original carpentry throughout – including a wonderful open string staircase topped in a mahogany handrail and hand turned balusters. Known locally for its architectural and historical importance – this is a marvellous opportunity to holiday in a VERY unique stay.

Inside the owners have fused modern design with the traditional characters of the property perfectly. The original sash windows, architrave and high ceilings are complimented with fabulous colourful interiors, comfy furniture and on trend furnishing.

The ground floor features a sleek chateau-like reception hallway, snooker room come study, a sitting room and copper themed cocktail bar. There are mature, well maintained grounds surrounding the house for guests to explore.

Further afield, one mile away is the seaside village of Budleigh Salterton with tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. 5 miles away is Exmouth with supermarkets, shops, great restaurants and superb sporting opportunities.

Important Property Notes

There is ample parking for many cars, although there is no EV charging point available.

Knowle House is dog friendly. Additional dog fee to be charged £100.

The pool is not fenced off. The doors to the outside area can be locked to prevent access and the pool has a cover.

*Please note the main house sleeps 10 guests, with a further detached annexe (Piglets) for two guests immediately outside the main house.
