Nestled in the heart of Bishopthorpe Road, a vibrant street in York with independent shops, bars and restaurants, The Courtyard is a beautiful one-bedroom apartment on the ground floor. The perfect getaway for two, The Courtyard provides a fantastic base when staying in York. You can head to the city centre in just 10 minutes for a day of shopping or you can enjoy the fabulous York Races 15 minutes away. Whatever you choose to do, you’ll be left with plenty of memories to treasure.

The Space:
The Courtyard has a bright and welcoming kitchen which can be found as soon as you enter the apartment. This space has everything you could need to prepare meals including an oven, hob, toaster, kettle, microwave and refrigerator.

Ideal for two, the living room includes a comfortable sofa, armchair and a flat screen TV. Enjoy your meals with your loved one at the dining area which includes a smooth wooden table and two chairs.

Head to the bedroom and you’ll notice the same cosy style flow in this space. The gorgeous double four-poster bed features a Hypnos mattress to ensure you have a great night’s sleep.

Modern and clean, the bathroom has a bathtub, overhead shower, WC and wash basin.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to The Courtyard are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.

The Neighborhood:
Placed perfectly half-way between London and Edinburgh, York is a stylish hotspot with more attractions per square mile than any other destination in the UK. Discover over 30 world-class museums as well as hidden attractions off the beaten track. Enjoy amazing restaurants, bars and pubs along with independent boutiques and big-name stores.

From the ancient walls of Roman York to the grandeur of Georgian York, the city is packed with history and charm. Explore The Shambles - a cobbled street which is lined with Elizabethan buildings – where you’ll find a mixture of shops and eateries. Be amazed by the 7th century York Minster and the stunning views from the Central Tower which leads to the highest point in the city.

Step outside of the centre and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. The beautiful Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and Wolds are right on the doorstep so you can enjoy long walks in the countryside.

If you fancy venturing further afield, Leeds is easily accessible via the A64. Alternatively, you could hop on the train and be there in around half an hour. Harrogate can also be reached easily by rail in under 40 minutes.

Getting Around:
The Courtyard is a short 10-minute walk from York city centre so getting around can be done on foot very easily.

York train station is less than a mile from the apartment and has direct routes to Bristol, Edinburgh, Harrogate, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and London.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout York and these cover the city centre, suburbs and many surrounding villages within the City of York.
