Situated in a quiet lane, it’s only a 10 minute drive to Stroud where you’ll find a range of shops, pubs and the famous Saturday Farmer’s Market. Or you can leave the car behind and explore the local footpaths, the cycle path or take the bus from the bottom of the road. It is a true pied-à-terre in the Cotswolds. On the edge of fields, overlooking hills and horses, this is a peaceful spot with a mix of friendly people. There are some wide, shallow steps up to the Studio; once there it is all level.
There are two pubs close by, both of which serve food; a cosy pub at the bottom of the lane (c.250 yards) and at the top of the hill, the climb is worth it for the views and a sunset drink from the pub garden. Booking is advisable at both pubs. There are plenty more pubs, a village shop, a brewery, many walks and other places to visit close by, including the Cotswold Way, Nailsworth, Minchinhampton, Rodborough and Woodchester Park and Vineyard.
The owners have two rescue cats, brother and sister Ray and Ruby, who are extremely friendly and good natured, and sometimes just a little bit nosy!
