The property comprises a comfortable living room, and the kitchen/dining room has everything you’ll need for your stay. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, a double and a twin. There’s an enclosed, walled sitting-out area outside which is the perfect place for letting your pooch run around and great for outdoor meals or evening summer drinks. This lovely cottage is perfect as a base for guests wishing to make the most of this stunning region’s scenery and many attractions and as an escape from modern life. You can walk to the beach, harbour, and main supermarkets. There is also a pub nearby that occasionally plays live music. Ilfracombe with its beaches and lovely harbour and port which dates to at least the 12th century with quality ice cream, fish and chips, and various craft shops.
The surrounding area has many attractions waiting to be discovered such as Cairn Woodland Nature Reserve, Hillsborough and Rapperee Cove, The Torrs, Watermouth Bay and the Southwest Coast Path. Why not take a trip to Lundy Island or enjoy coastal cruises, fishing, sea-life safaris, and diving which are all available locally? Enjoy the countless other North Devon attractions such as the popular Tarka Trail which provides the unique opportunity to follow a disused railway line allowing you to enjoy some of Devon’s finest countryside and scenery stretching from Barnstaple through to Bideford and beyond. And then there’s Exmoor National Park, just 11 miles away, and Lynton and Lynmouth, 19 miles to the east with its incredible sea views, rugged cliffs, and amazing funicular cliff railway which opened in 1890 and is the highest and steepest totally water-powered railway in the world! And of course, there are several world-class beaches such as Saunton Sands, Woolacombe, Croyde, and Westward Ho! – all of which are famous for their surfing qualities, vast stretches of sand and great dunes.
