Town: Northleach is a great location to travel from if you want to visit these well-known and beautiful locations because it is only off the Roman route, the Fosse Way (A429), which is just 8 miles north-east of Cirencester, 10 miles south-west of Stow-on-the-Wold, and about 7 miles from Burford. During its heyday, Northleach was a significant market town and a key hub for the Cotswold wool trade, known across Europe. Stone from the town's quarry and what is now Market Square was used to construct the wealthy wool merchants' church of St. Peter and St. Paul in the fifteenth century. More recently, the village has appeared in several movies, notably the 2015 drama Casual Vacancy.
