Perfect location, perfect place, perfect host!

We absolutely adored this apartment! The proximity to Lambeth North tube station made travel everywhere super simple! There are several grocery stores very close by as well as great pubs, restaurants and street food. Of note, the apartment has a few flights of stairs to acces and there is no elevator so if mobility is an issue, this is important. It was no problem at all for us aside from breaking a little sweat carrying our suitcases up. Communicating with the host was super easy and efficient. If I could give more than five stars, I would!

Wonderful Place to Stay Near Everything!

We had a wonderful stay at this conveniently located London flat! The owner is so easy to get in touch with and is available to answer any questions you may have. The place is very clean and comfortable. Everything you need is available. The location was wonderful. It is right next to two tube stations and is walking distance to most attractions. We also enjoyed to bike station right outside of the flat. We had an amazing time and can't wait to visit again in the near future!

Super Vacation in England

We enjoyed staying in Waterloo. Local folks helped us find the flat. This flat on Lower Marsh was in a terrific location to the tube and we were thrilled to see and participate in the excitement and bustle of Lower Marsh Market each day. We visited at a time in June when London was uncharacteristically HOT and found the flat did not have air conditioning. We made it through. Great time showing our teen London !!!!!

Fantastic location!

The flat is really well located to restaurants, grocery stores and transportation (close to both Lambeth North and Waterloo stations) plus it’s right at the end of the Westminster Bridge which means you are right across the river from Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Parliament. During the week there is a great street market on Lower Marsh with lots of great food and a few vendors. The flat is also right across the street from an underground walkway (that takes you towards Waterloo and the London Eye) that is a really cool graffiti gallery. The flat itself was more than adequate for our family of 4 for a week. Our 11 & 13 year olds fit on the couch and we had a separate bedroom. The only downside was that it’s on the 4th floor and London was pretty warm while we were there but that is no fault of the flat.

Don’t miss out…

After reading the two most recent reviews of this place, I was stressed out and unsure how this trip would turn out. I reached out to the owner and he mentioned issues with double booking due to automated booking system on two platforms and that the bed bug issue was caused by a self proclaimed influencer fabricating a story to get free accommodations. He double checked and assured me that our family was the only one booked for the time of our stay and that there are no bed bug issues. I am so glad, I gave this a chance as my family and I ended up having the most wonderful time. The owner was an excellent communicator and I can tell works hard to repair the damage caused by previous claims. He was very responsive whenever I had a question. The location of the apartment is excellent. We walked to most major sites but also had the option to take the tube or train to Waterloo Station or take the double decker bus to stops nearby. We cooked some meals as there were groceries and local markets nearby. We also got to use the washer/dryer mid week. Our daughters ages 11 and 13 slept on the couch and had no issues. The washroom was fully stocked with toiletries in case you forgot something. I would definitely recommend this place and stay again! It truly is “The Best Deal in Central London”

This condo is close to food, the waterloo train station, a grocery store and Big Ben. Great location. With it being so close to everything, including bars, you can hear the hustle well after 10pm. We were kept up late until 2am a couple of nights due to the thin windows. Totally beyond the owners control. What is in their control though is the need for minor maintenance in the apartment. The bathroom toilet, wall stone, and shower caulking are pulling away from each other to leave an unsightly and frankly uncleanable area. Also in need of some TLC are the shower head (slimy, we ended up picking some things out of the rubber tips to let the water completely flow) and the dining table (so wobbly, it'll fall at any point and could use tightening). The mattress could be replaced, it's pretty lumpy. Lastly, we didn't get our check in information until requesting it. With people busy packing, many for an international trip, it would be nice to have that auto sent. It gave us quite a panic looking for last minute hotels until the owner responded. Best way to contact them is whats app. Perks: cheaper than hotel, location next to food, laundry machine, kitchen. Cons: loud bar neighbors, needs maintenance. Overall it's not likely we'd stay here again unless these adjustments to the living quarters were changed. But it's not a bad spot to be in London for a few days.

Yeah and No

We thought this was the one until we arrived. The Vrbo host overbooked and put us up in a lovely hotel where we got to stay 2 days in the basement of the hotel in a room with no air flow. It was very claustrophobic. We texted the host who told us that it would be 4:30 when we could finally check in, but that we could come and drop off our luggage. When we arrived to do so there was trash all over the front of the build. Dropped off the bag and explored the wonderful street and food places. Came back to find that she was still cleaning. She finished at around 5:30pm. Apt looks GREAT! She didn't explain how to use the spa in the shower or the bidet that had to be plugged in for usage. Finally after feeling uncomfortable in the bed we tried sleeping on the sofa to watch a movie and woke up to bed bugs all over our legs!!!! We took pictures of the couch as there were urine stain it seem in some places. We left the next day and went to the hotel and stay the rest of our visit. I wanted to be fair and told him what had happen and he asked for photos which we sent via text to him. We offered us $100.00 and that was it. This is not fair. I paid him hard earned money and he wasn't fair. This was a fail and I would tell you RUN and PASS on this place. There are other places on the street to stay at without bedbugs I am sure. Yeah.... No on this one.

Whoops Double booked

The listing says check-in info will be sent three days ahead. Tried that. Owner said no info would be given 1 day ahead due to security concerns. Okay. On the day of check-in I couldn't get ahold of owner properly until I downloaded the app WhatsApp. When we finally got info we found out he was double booked and the previous person was still there for two more days. To his credit he got us a room at a hotel. The room was the size of a postage stamp and had no window in the room. Just a window in the bathroom and a frosted door to the main room to provide daylight. It had a motorized bed because if the bed was down you couldn't walk past the bed. A far cry from the apartment we had booked and paid for months before. We couldn't unpack. We had planned to do laundry at the apartment, but when we got there the cleaner had laundry going in the washer/dryer for another 2 and a half hours which put us into the late evening to do our laundry. The owner seemed to get upset with me, so I suggested we meet face to face as there seemed to be a communication problem. He sent a text back saying he wasn't in the city so he couldn't meet. Once we were actually in the unit we found it adequate. It does however need quite a bit of TLC. The sink area had quite a bit of black around it. Not sure whether it was dirty or mouldy. Drain in bathtub ran extremely slowly. He has a fancy Japanese type bidet on the toilet. It didn't work, he says he is waiting for a fuse. I could go on but you only allow

London an Ostern

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Osterwoche in London verbracht. Die Wohnung liegt super zentral, sowohl für Fußmärsche als auch für die Nutzung des öffentlichen Nahverkehrs, egal ob Bus oder U-Bahn. Check-in und Check-out waren sehr unkompliziert und die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter per WhatsApp blitzschnell. Wir waren zu dritt, aber auch für 4 Personen ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Fazit: sehr gern wieder 👍.

Neighborhood is on a street that has a market, so not much traffic, mostly foot and bicycle traffic. There are many stores nearby, several grocery stores and pharmacies. There are also several restaurants on the street and nearby. There were a few items in the apartment that did not work and there is no air conditioning. The windows do open and do provide a good cross breeze. The apartment pictures are accurate. The underground stations and bus stops are very convenient, just a short walk to each. If you need to store your luggage somewhere after you arrive or before you leave, try Luggage Hero. There is a store near the apartment that participates as a Luggage Hero site. Also, to communicate with the owner of the apartment, download the WhatsApp app, provide your phone number to owner via vrbo. You will have to add their phone number to your contacts. It worked well to communicate with them.

Central location near train , minimal, and quiet.

Quieter area than expected, clean, basic and comfortable. Check in and communication with the owner was a little odd, if you use WhatsApp then you will be good. Missing TP but otherwise place was fine. Good place for 1 to 2 people. Store near by to get any basics you may need and close to train/underground. Would stay again

Close to everything: bus, metro, train. Owner very available to check if everything is ok. Should have given a little more info on how things work at our arrival. Some stuff needs to be updated. Definitely recommended.

Great Location

We were uncertain of the location when we booked, but it turned out so much better than we thought, with easy access to public transit, a street of excellent food and drink, and a quick walk to the river front. The flat itself was clean and efficient, and coordination with the owner was simple.

Perfect Location, Wonderful Neighborhood

This apartment packed a big punch! I am regular VRBO visitor and have stayed in many European apartments the last 10 years. This apartment was very conveniently located - close walk to the Waterloo tube, grocery, several restaurants, bus stops. The neighborhood was friendly; local food and craft merchants set up M-F and the street became a very lively place for lunch and browsing. The apartment was very quiet as it's in the back of the building. There is no lift, however, steps were not steep to climb up to the 4th floor. Bed and sofa bed very comfortable, big bathroom with natural light and tub, kitchen was well equipped with large fridge, stove top/oven, microwave, coffee maker and all utensils. Bedroom had ample closet space. Wi-Fi was very good. Our owner communicated with us in a very efficient manner when we had a question or two. I would definitely stay in this apartment again when visiting London. Thank you Oriol for all of your help and recommendations.

We loved our stay in the flat in London, it was very clean we were greeted by the cleaning lady who was very nice. They accommodated us to meet early in the morning as that’s when our flight arrived in London. It was in a great location to get all over London and near the subway. The entrance was little tricky to find. I know the flat it’s located on the second floor but you do have to walk up 4 flights of stairs. It was very well decorated and modern. The bed wasn’t very comfortable. Most of the stuff in flat reminded me of things from ikea. Although I’m not positive that’s where it was from. The bathroom was very nice, the large shower head was broken. Told the owner, wasn’t a big deal. Although shower was a bit tricky to figure out once we did it was nice. The Japanese toilet was a nice addition. Overall this flat was perfect for our vacation and I would highly recommend it. I would gladly stay here again if we come back to London!
