We have owned this beach home for 17 years and originally had it listed on VRBO for the first 10 years but switched to AIRBNB. We just recently relisted with VRBO. The house is located inside a gated beach community, just down from GulfPlace, Shunk Gulleys and the infamous Goatfeathers and Balsamati's Restaurants. The community is within walking distance of two public beach accesses, lots of restaurants, seafood market, golf cart rental, and ice cream shoppe! Walk, ride bikes, or rent a golf cart for shuttling everyone and everything to and from the beach. Golf carts are super popular. There are golf carts, boards, kayaks, bikes, etc for rent at Buddy’s bike rentals and Beach Store next to Goatfeathers seafood market and restaurant across from entrance to the community. We also have a large one bedroom condo (sleeps 4) directly on the beach just down the road in Blue Mountain Beach which has its own private beach. You can combine the condo with the house and have access to the private beach. Use the condo as an outpost for grandparents or those who need more privacy.

The house has a master bedroom suite on the second floor which includes a king size bed, grass chair, desk, french doors that open to a wrap-around private balcony with hammock that overlooks the second community pool, and on suite bath with tub and separate shower. There are two additional bedrooms upstairs, one with a queen bed, and the other with 4 bunk beds, an additional full bath, lots of books, puzzles and games for the kids.

The fourth bedroom is on the main floor and has a comfortable queen bed with a full bathroom directly across the hall.

Wonderfully appointed kitchen with Corian counters, Kenmore Radiant Collection appliances, and lots of other misc. tools (coffee maker, french press, coffee grinder, blender, toaster, etc.). There is also a gas grill.

This two story beach home is full of windows with natural light and wooden shutters. There will also be plenty of time to relax outside on the wrap around porches overlooking the pool.

Near the property you will be delighted to find many miles of continuous/separate paved Greenway Trails (biking or walking) that weave through some of the most picturesque Beach Communities/lakes in florida (Seaside, Grayton Beach, Redfish Lake, Eastern Lake, etc.).

Old Florida Village is a short stroll to the shops and Restaurants at Gulf Place (free open air jazz concert every Sunday evening) and a short bike ride to the festivities, restaurants and shops at Grayton Beach, Watercolor, and Seaside. There is a Publix nearby in Blue Mountain on Hwy 98 and in Watercolor. Hop in the car for a short drive to the massive shops of Grand Boulevard, Sandestin Resort/Baytowne Wharf and Sand Destin Factory Outlet. A few more miles west and you will find Destin Commons with all the upscale shops...

If an active vacation is required; stroll to the beach for some clear water snorkeling, sandcastle building, and shell seeking or try the exceptional SINGLETRACK mountain bike/hiking trails that begin virtually from your doorstep and meander many miles through Eastern Lake State Park/Point Washington State Forest... You could also rent a bike to ride the bike bath next to 30A that goes through all the unique beach communities or rent a paddleboard or kayak.

Within a half hour drive you'll find many golf courses, including the golf course just down the road at the Santa Rosa Beach Club/Golf Course. Do we even need to mention the World Class Deep Sea Fishing in Destin. How about some Putt Putt, or an Amusement Park, Jet Skiing, Para-Sailing, Marine Parks (two, one in Fort Walton Beach the other in Panama City, either less than a half hour drive)...
