Jekyll Island April 8-12, 2024

Property was clean and had what we needed for the stay however unit needs some repairs and TLC. There were some unpleasant surprises - the only bathroom is upstairs thru a baby gate attached to bottom of stairs with a sign on front door ‘no dogs allowed upstairs!’ including a threat of a large penalty amount to be charged to your credit card if dog hair is found upstairs! The carpet needs replacing. There was no hose to rinse off outside after a trip to the nearby beach - only accessible by a tall staircase. As seniors we won’t stay here again but would return to beautiful Jekyll Island ☺️

Bad Experience

We were very much looking forward to our Jekyll stay, but this rental had many problems. To say it needs some TLC is an understatement -- the beds, the dishwasher, the pots and pans, all need updates. The problems are sufficiently large that we genuinely wonder if we were staying at the same place the other positive commenters stayed at. We also had challenges getting into the unit well after check-in time and had to escalate to Vrbo, which was a quite difficult 1.5 hour process on the island due to poor signal. The location is great (just steps from the beach) but that's the only good thing we can say about this rental.

Nice Area-Close to Beaches

This is in a quiet neighborhood, and was pretty much as described in the listing. The listing did show in the amenities that there were bikes. But they there were no bikes, only racks. Not a major thing. The rental was clean and the check-in was easy. I would stay here again.

Easy access to everything on the Island. Fitted all of our needs. The laundry was a nice extra.

Quaint Little House

This unit was cute and quaint and so close to the beach. The location was ideal and truly only steps from the beach. My daughter and I spent a long weekend in Jeckyll and drove the very short drive to Driftwood Beach each day to walk around. The house was also a short drive to the shops and restaurants. The house could use a little TLC. It could use some new flooring to replace the old carpet. The kitchen could also use a face lift. It had everything we needed for our stay and even though it could use some sprucing up our stay was super fun.
