Beautiful view, but bad experience

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love this cabin and have been staying here for a few years. The view is amazing and the cabin has everything we need, but this year, disappointed unfortunately. Arriving in April, it was fully decorated for Christmas which was a bummer for our spring break. I called and they said they were going to do it after we left. Our hot tub had chunks of filter and bugs floating in it. Also said that wasn’t an issue. Many key light bulbs were out and she didn’t want address that either. Just disappointed in their lack of customer service and they didn’t really care that we had a good stay.

45th Anniversary Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 45th wedding anniversary celebration We honeymooned here and have continued to return to the mountains ever since. We have never been disappointed with Cove Mountain Reality or with our experience in the mountain communities. Hiking, biking, shopping and relaxing with nature are the highlights of our trip. This was our first time staying in the Run for the Hills cabin. The cabin had everything we needed to be comfortable, and the views were spectacular.

We have rented here several times; it is always very clean. It is also beautifully decorated and comfortable. The interior of the cabin was "okay". The kitchen needs to be cleaner and better lighting. The freezer setting allowed my ice cream to melt. I didn't think to check the freezer setting. All cabin lighting needs to be changed to LED. Vinyl Bathroom floor needs to be updated. Bedding needs update. Road to cabin is challenging.

Perfect cabin, view disappearing

It's comfortable, has all the amenities we'd like, and has giant windows to see the awesome view. Sadly the view is starting to get blocked by trees just beyond the deck. In another year or two, you won't be able to see into the distance.

The cabin is great and the views were amazing. We had alot of rain but still had a great time. On the first day we had a lizard in bathroom but our bathroom dragon (a my son called it) didn't want to stay. Some members of our party did get to see bears right by our cabin! Getting up to cabin was a bit scary definitely no joke once we figured our own way up and down it wasn't so bad. The cabin was worth it along with the views! We enjoyed our stay alot. Thank you Cove Mountain!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had stayed previously in 2016 and refound this cabin again. It is not a huge cabin but is just the right size for the 5 of us. The view is amazing and we got to see a momma bear and her cub right near the cabin. The deck furniture is awesome along with the gazebo in case you need shade. The kitchen is stocked well though we didn't use it much to be honest. We will be back again to this cabin. The only minor inconvenience is the floors do creak pretty good when you walk on them. No smearing around. Love t his cabin

It's close to Townsend and several nice restaurants. I recommend the Abbey or the Trailhead. Dancing Bear is a very nice upscale restaurant. We had a bear walk right onto the deck one evening like he owned the place. I have no problems recommending the property.

April 2023 Stay

Had a great time hiking and biking in the Smokies. This cabin was very convenient to Townsend and Cades Cove, making it perfect for us. I highly recommend The Abbey for casual dining on the river. The Friday night ribs were very good! We had visitors on two different evenings. The one pictured casually walked across the deck to the hot tub. The last night of our stay we saw a mother with two cubs. Overall, we had a great stay.

Wonderful view

The good-the view is awesome!! The gazebo is great. The high top table and chairs were comfy. The gliders-oh my! We loved those. The cabin was very clean. The fall decor was lovely and we loved the lighted garland and the tree is beautiful. The bad-the water smells like sulfur and the smell lingers for hours. We all feel dirty because the water doesn't rinse off soap/shampoo. The living room is large, the tv is tiny (maybe 32 inches). We are sports fans and had a hard time watching the Braves! No streaming. You share the drive with 3 cabins and the pictures make the parking area seem really spacious. It is not. If the water issue and tv issue were solved, we would stay again. But if not, we wouldn't return.

"Run To the Hills" for a Getaway

The deck furniture was new and top of the line. The cabin was clean, and the furnishings were very good with new looking appliances. beautiful cabin, beautifully decorated for fall! had everything we needed! 2 things I would address though are 1. the hot tub...some of the jets didn't work or barely worked, it definitely needs updated. 2. the septic tank...it smelled terrible! taking a shower or using any of the faucets made the entire cabin smell like rotten eggs!!! I couldn't wait to get home to shower! also, the pictures are kind of misleading, the parking area is SMALL had to angle the cars in so we wouldn't block the way for the cabin next to us, and the 2 other cabins on each side are WAY closer than they appear in the pictures, so if you want seclusion this cabin is not it. The view is AMAZING though.

Beautiful!

This property is beautiful and peaceful! The deck overlooks stunning views of the Smoky Mountains. It is conveniently located- far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy amenities throughout both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. So glad we stayed here!
