Lovely apartment

Lovely spacious apartment. Blood or red wine on the bathroom door was a little disturbing. Maxwell tried to fix the TV but it was almost exclusively in what seemed to be Russian. We therefore had to resort to watching programmes on our phones. Not ideal. Maxwell was very friendly.

Great Holiday

Had a lovely week in Cascais. Apartment was spacious and well equipped in a lovely complex. No view from the outside patio as it’s overlooking the driveway but nice garden & pool area to the other side of complex. Air conditioning would have been beneficial as the weather for October was unusually high however 2 fans provided were very useful. A few extra bath towels would have been welcome as 1 per person isn’t really enough although we did use the washing machine! Transport to & from airport was provided by Maxwell who was pleasant & helpful. We enjoyed walking to Marina & town centre however we also used the local buses & Uber which were both good value. Plenty of lovely restaurants within walking distance and lots of others around Marina & in town centre. A lovely holiday in a beautiful area.

Great value and location

This is a beautifully furnished and equipped apartment in a gated condo complex, just a few minutes walk from the water. The pool area is stunning and the host provided swim towels. Casa da Guia, a complex of several great restaurants is close by. Just across the street from the condo complex there is a supermarket and bakery. We had all the luxury and conveniences we needed to make this our home base for a Lisbon-area stay. Maxwell, our host was responsive and hospitiable. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Holiday

This apartment was great for our family of 4 with 2 children aged 16 and 11. It was a good size, very comfortable and the pool was fabulous. It's within easy walking distance of a lovely bakery (2 mins), the supermarket (5 mins) and the town and beach (~20 mins). When the walk home was a little too much, Ubers were very reasonable, about €5. We had a wonderful holiday thank you.

Lovely stay

Lovely apartment, gardens were beautiful and pool was a really good size and quiet. We tried a few routes into cascais centre and it took a good 25 minutes to walk with younger children, but a taxi was only €5 each way and easy to get.

Wonderful holiday!

Myself, husband & 2 children aged 11 & 14 really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was perfect & in a great location. The pool was a hit with the kids, always space and on a couple of occasions we had it to ourselves. It was easy to walk or hop on a bus to Cascais & we really enjoyed the calmer vibe on offer at Casa da Guia. The communication was excellent, an added bonus was the easy arrangement of transfers & we really appreciated meeting Maxwell who made sure we knew we could get in touch should we need to during our stay. There is a new supermarket very close by now which made stocking up really convenient. All in all a super holiday in a beautiful apartment with everything we needed close by. Thank you for having us!

The apartment was so much larger than the photos show. The grounds that the apartment is in are beautiful and extremely well maintained. The porters on the gate were always friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for our family trip to Cascais.

Beautiful Cascais

The property was good, clean with all modern appliances. We were staying a week It was fully equipped with all you need to cook and clean as well as coffee and filters. Bottle of water in the fridge. Only negative was one small bath towel and one small hand towel for each person, and i requested more and received one bath and one hand additional. Just not enough for a big guy who uses at least two just for one shower. Owner was very active in insuring I knew how to get in and that I was happy, and accommodated me to let me check in early as my flight arrived early morning and as I was leaving very early on my last day.Very appreciative of that. Pool area was very nice and well maintained. . Location was about 1.5km from town center and main beach. Nice quiet restful area with Bakery and Supermarket around the corner. Overall very happy and would return for sure

Very Spacious and Comfortable Appartment

We stayed in this lovely apartment for a week with our two children and enjoyed our stay thoroughly. This was in fact our third time to stay in the area in recent years and this apartment and its shared pool and garden were by far the best, extremely spacious and cool (No need for Air Con). Cascais is a fantastic place to holiday and this apartment in Jardins da Gandarinha is the perfect base for a family of four.

Très bon emplacement, belle piscine et jardins. Pas beaucoup de lumière naturel dans l'apartment .

Nous avons beaucoup aimé le compound où se trouve cet appartement . Il y une belle piscine et des beaux jardins très bien entretenues, très agréable avec des enfants . L'apartment est confortable mais comme il est au rez-des-chaussées , il est sombre donc que nous avons besoin d'allumer la lumière pendant la journée . La sale de bain aurait besoin des travaux car elle est deja ancienne . Sinon la localisation est excellente , on peux y aller à pied au centre ville dans une vingtaine des minutes. Maxwell est venu nous rendre les clés et il était sympa.

de ruimte is luxe (groot), het complex is prima, de basis (keuken en badkamer) zijn gedateerd

Nog geen 20 uur voor ons vertrek (vlucht) naar Cascais belde de eigenaar ons op dat hij een dubbele boeking had aangenomen. Helaas waren wij de "klos"; na diverse belletjes en mails kwam de eigenaar gelukkig wel met een tijdelijke oplossing. We konden 5 dagen terecht in 't Scala (twee straten verderop); dit was geweldig! Mooi, groot, schoon, alle faciliteiten van deze tijd - gewoon luxe! Het viel ons tegen dat enerzijds de voorpret van de vakantie als sneeuw voor de zon was verdwenen (en veel stress gaf), maar ook dat we eenmaal daar dus een vakantiedag zijn verloren met het uitchecken van de tijdelijke locatie (Scala) naar inchecken bij het appartement in " Les Jardins" (voor 2 dagen). Het complex is netjes incl een mooi zwembad. Je kunt ook gebruik maken van de faciliteiten van het naastgelegen hotel (Pestana). Het is jammer dat je de gehele dag binnen de lichten aan moet doen (erg donker), de keuken is aan zeer dringende vervanging toe alsmede de badkamer. Wij hebben van beiden geen gebruik gemaakt en gedoucht (bij Pestana) na het zwemmen..... De woonkamer en de slaapkamer zijn erg groot (maar donker dus), het balkonnetje is niet optimaal. Het appartement is gelegen op de begane grond en boven de ingang naar de parkeergarage. Als je 's avonds dus op het balkonnetje zit, rijden auto's af en aan naar de parkeergarage. Kortom.....wat is " luxe"?

nice roomy apartment with good pool

Family of four had a nice time. Pool was loved by the kids, never very busy, so could always get loungers. Security there 24/7 and very friendly. Once worked out the quickest route by Google maps about 25mins walk to Cascais town center. Would certainly stay there again.

Lovely Condominium in the best location of Cascais

The Condominium is one of the best in Cascais Town/Seafront area. The garden and pool are the best that I have stayed. So beautiful and calm. The best place to unwind and relax. The apartment is huge and nicely furnished with quality furnishing. Apartment is very celan and immaculate. Marble flooring keeps cool all day long. Very secure condominium complex with 24 hr security. You can get free bicycle by Casa da Guis seafront (5 min walk from the apartment) and there is of-street bicycle track all along the seafront. Lovely restaurants and cafe in Casa da Guia as well as almost in front of the apartment a good mini supermarket and lovely bakery/coffee shop. Really a pleasant walk to Cascais town (takes about 15 to 20 minutes). There is a bus called BusCas that stops by the apartment and it takes less than 5 minutes to get to Cascais town. This bus runs every 15 minutes around the town area. We enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment and will be back next year. Cascais and Estoril are lovely upmarket holiday resort. Very safe and friendly people.

disappointing start but got better

Holiday did not start off as expected, phone call just as leaving England to say we could not get in the apartment until the following day due to a problem with existing tenants not being able to fly home until the following day. Told we were to be put up in an apartment in Lisbon. this was not what we wanted but really had no choice so decided to make the most of it. Apartment in Lisbon was very nice internally but externally very intimidating. bit of an upset with them wanting us to pay a security deposit for the first apartment which we refused to do. Driver agreed to pick us up at 9.30am the following morning to take us to cascais. HE arrived on time which we were grateful of. Apartment in Cascais is on a very secure gated complex with lovely grounds and pool. very quiet peaceful area. The apartment has everything you need for your stay. Bathrobes supplied was a nice touch however only one set of towels for 10 days so tip- take washing powder to wash them. Lounge, bedroom and kitchen are huge. Bathroom could do with updating but ok. Terrace overlooks the driveway and does not get the sun. The area has a few restaurants within walking distance but for more choice you need to catch the bus to Cascais. Runs every 10 mins and cost 1E, be warned though it stops at 9pm so have to get a taxi back or walk 45 mins. Good access links to Lisbon and Sintra from Cascais. We enjoyed our stay in Cascaise

HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR A GREAT FAMILY HOLIDAY

We recently returned from our family holiday in Lisbon. I felt that I had to write a review on this luxury apartment in Cascais. I had originally booked this apartment for 10 days, but due to an overbooking by Luxapartlet, we stayed in another one of their apartments ref 490366 for 5 days and 5 days here. This ment that we had the best of both, with the first apartment we were able to travel as it was situated so close to the train station in Estroil. And then for the remainder of the time, we were able to relax in this apartment. The apartment is spacious, equipped with everything that you would need and even better that the photographs on the website. Everything about the complex was great from the swimming pool, gardens and especially the security. There is a good supermarket, and bakery within walking distance. As the apartment is out a distance from Cascais town itself, I would recommend that you would use the bus service for traveling as it is quiet a long walk into town. Cascais it self is lovely,beautiful beach, plenty of restaurant to chose from, lots of shops and a train service to Lisbon. A must to do is to get the free bikes, and cycle around Cascais and also a visit to Sentra which is magical. The owner Thiru was very helpful and supplied us with lots of information on the area. I would recommend this apartment and area to all my friends and will hopefully be back in the near future.

A wonderful stay in a Superb apartment

The apartment was everything it was advertised to be and more.....it is hugely spacious, very comfortable, clean, and has all the necessary mod cons needed for a relaxing holiday - the complex itself is very well maintained, quiet and secure (24 hr security at gates). We really felt at home in the apartment and as it and the pool area were so relaxing we spent alot of time there. Wifi is excellent and the satellite tv had lots of English channels/programmes which was a nice bonus. We loved the location - granted it is a 20 min walk to the centre of Cascais but it’s a pleasant walk and we needed to get some exercise to work off our over indulgence of pastries from the cafe across the road....delicious!! The alternative to walking is the Buscas which runs very close to the apartment every 15 min or so and only costs 85 cent (taxi’s are only 4-5 euro). – the VIP supermarket across the road and the Sacolinho cafe will have all the essentials you need (Jumbo in town centre is a great supermarket for doing a bigger grocery shop). Thiru, the owner of the apartment was extremely helpful and accommodating - he provides you with lots of information for the apartment and locality. If you are after a relaxing holiday with luxury surroundings and in a good location, you can’t go wrong booking this apartment and Cascais.

Beautiful apartment

This apartment lived up to all our expectations. It is extremely spacious, beautifully decorated, clean and well equipped. It is situated in a very well maintained complex with lovely gardens and pool area. It is not in the cente of Cascais but is very close to the frequent bus service into the town centre, and free cycle hire is available less than 5 minutes walk away. There is a very pleasnt cliff top area of bars and restaurants (Casa da Guia). We ate there a couple of times, overlooking the sea at sunset. The Swedish pizza/pasta restaurant(!) - Garbos - has good food and service. Across the road from the aprtament there is a small but good quality supermarket and a lovely bakery. Whilst we did hire a car, it would be easy to manage without one whilst staying here. The apartment owner was very helpful, providing lots of detailed and accurate informatiom about the apartment and surrounding area, and arranging transport to and from the airport. Cascais is a pleasant town with lots of restaurants - we would recommend a trip to Santini's ice cream parlour and Jardim de Frango is good value.We also enjoyed trips to Sintra, Cabo de Roca and the Feria in Estoril

Well worth a visit!

This a a fabulous apartment in a great location. The description is very accurate with the exception of: 'overlooking the Atlantic ocean'. Whilst the apartment block does have apartments with a sea view this one overlooks the driveway and has no sea view! However, because of other reviews we were aware of this before our stay and were therefore, not too dissappointed. One other point is that although one can in theory walk to the beach a few minutes away you cannot access it because it is not suitable for swimming and sunbathing and is at the bottom of a cliff!! The nearest beach suitable for this purpose is in Cascais town which means a 20 minute walk or a short bus ride. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable and we had a very restful time there. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained, as is the pool. The walk into the town centre is very pleasant and the bus is a brilliant alternative! We found plenty of good places to eat and enjoyed the free bike hire! Lisbon and Sintra were easily accessible and well worth a visit, as was the Wednesday market in town for bread, fish, cheese, fruit and veg. Thiru was very welcoming and helpful on arrival - we would defintely return.

Highly Recommended

My wife & I spent (2) nights here. The bldg & grounds are beautiful. It's located in an upscale neighborhood with a good size grocery store only (2) blocks away & a terrific bakery directly across the street from the grocery store. A few really good Restaurants are located about a 10 minute walk away from the unit , & they are reasonably priced. The unit itself is very modern & clean & has a large kitchen nicely stocked with the essentials . Would definitely stay here again-- fresh & modern decor.
