Lovely

The property was as described. I would have preferred less plug ins, but that’s because some family were sensitive to smells. The rooms were clean - it would be nice to have a variety of pillow thicknesses. But the beds were comfortable and plenty!We did not take advantage of the outdoor space due to weather, it looked lovely!!I would use this host again.

Smelled like a smoke house

Once we made it to the house and the first step in was hit with the horrible smell of smoke. Was so bad it gave me and my son a head ache. Contacted owner to let them know hoping maybe they would do something. Had to leave house and go to store to get something to spray inside to try and get the smell out. On top of the smell the floor were sticky. Like every where ylu walked your shoes wanted to stick. Food found on top of a wine stand and trash in the floors. A wash cloth in the bathroom was covered in hair and found hair in main bath room and shower. After the first night was thinking about getting a hotel room just to get out. But with the air fresher i bought to put in house and me spraying many many many times the morning we left the smell was almost gone.

Great Christmas with family

We stayed during Christmas and this house was perfect! Plenty of room and a great location. Hostess has house fully stocked, very clean and comfortable furniture. You can relax with family and enjoy those lake views. Location is perfect with many restaurants and stores nearby.

Nice place with Lake View

This is a nice property. Only a few minor comments: no towels in powder room, TV remote had dead batteries, and very limited seating in the family room where the fireplace was located.

Disappointed at condition of house.

First impressions are very important to anyone. When we arrived at the house, the storm door and front door were covered in thick spider webs that had leaves embedded in them. The closure for the storm door was broken off and hanging in the doorway. The house is very sparsely furnished and there would not have been enough seating in common areas if house had been rented for capacity listed for sleeping. The screened in porch had screen door that would not close because it was rotted at hinges and only three chairs on porch. The entire area, sidewalk, steps and back patio were covered in thick wet leaves and slippery. The trash can was full and at the road. The trash truck came the next day and we moved the trash can back up the driveway to put our trash in it. The furniture had numerous stains and stains and loose dirt were on the living room rug. The master bathroom had beard trimmings on the floor and there were not adequate towels for the three of us. The listing did not say that two bedroom were in an upstairs area. We assumed from the picture of the outside of the house that it was all on one level. We are three elderly people and stairs are hard to manage safely at times. It could be a very comfortable rental if it was better taken care of.

Would stay again but…

This is a nice large home that is very spacious. A good neighborhood close to the water but no public access. The initial walk in smells old/musty but wasn’t noticeable after the initial entrance. A couple closet door handles just fell off and the patio lights were working but the owners responded quickly and are aware. All in all a good home in a good location and I would stay again.

Spacious

The house is spacious enough to give room to people if they want to get away and get quiet. Having a fenced backyard was perfect for dogs to have a safe adventure. Lots Of spiders And bugs Outside but then again it was August. It’s obvious they are Trying to Slowly renovate an old house however it was what we needed for this trip. Easy to get to Dahlonega to see family at a nursing home. Easy to Get to highway to Go into the city if you want. Close to Grocery stores and restaurants

Senior Trip!

We had everything we needed. We took our son on a senior trip. He wanted to play golf at Chateau Elan and the house was extremely convenient to everything we needed. The house was very clean and we had room for everyone to have their own space. My son had a friend come along and they enjoyed the game room at night. The host were very gracious and answered any questions we had, most before I even had to ask. They communicated wry well and we enjoyed our stay.

They house was large enough for all pf us to spread out and have our space with enough seating amd sleeping space for everyone! The location was quiet and perfect! The host was responsive in a timely manner!

Plenty of room but….

We appreciated the roominess of the property, but… Cons: - Strong old/musty smell was difficult to ignore. - Grass not cut. We had planned to play an outside game but grass was too tall. - Sparse furniture for a house that sleeps 10. - Only Couch in house was broken/unusable - One “bed” is an air mattress- nobody wanted to sleep on that. - Some Furniture soiled/stained - One outside Adirondack chair broken - Outside area unkempt Pros: - Quick response to questions from host. - beds comfortable except air mattress - House and linens clean, just an old house - Nice kitchen with adequate cooking supplies - Extra linens and detergent - Extra toiletries - Nice neighborhood close to lake

Great Motorcycle Trip

This place was perfect for our group of 8 while in town for a motorcycle race at Road Atlanta. Plenty of room in the garage for all the bikes, and when the weather wasn't cooperating on our check out day the hosts allowed us to check out a little late to let the rain pass before riding our motorcycles 3.5 hours home. The property and home are beautiful, we're already planning our stay for next year!
