Great Place for a New England Getaway
Proximity to the beach is fantastic and the town of Madison is small but sophisticated. Every meal I had in town was good. I would hesitate to stay anywhere else since I am not a crowds person.
Property is a tale of extremes. The master bedroom is heavenly and modern with these amazing operable skylights overlooking the sound. The lack of drawer storage in the master makes it impossible to unpack, so I wasn't crazy about living out of a suitcase for ten days.
Bathrooms are beautifully and tastefully redone. It is time for a towel remake as most of the downstairs towels are fraying.
Rest of the house is charming with lots of antiques and interesting books.
Hot days are no big deal with all of the air conditioning units about the house. It may be time for a trinket edit. I found myself itching to move many of the trinkets to a closet so I could at least look out of the kitchen window or have enough room to prepare a meal.
Roger is very responsive and helpful. He made our vacation go smoothly with repairs and restaurant recommendations.
We look forward to returning in the next couple of years.
