The Space:
Our family-friendly cabin is packed with amenities and fun for couples, families or small groups of friends.
The cabin includes:
- Queen bed in the downstairs bedroom, and a sleeping area in the loft with a queen/twin bunk bed and another twin bed (there’s also a pull-out sofa in the living room, and it’s quite comfortable!)
- Fully-stocked kitchen with stove/oven and microwave
- Smart TV where you can quickly sign-in to your favorite streaming service
- WiFi that's fast enough to stream movies and hold video calls
- AC and electric heat to keep you perfectly comfortable, no matter the weather
- Washer & dryer
Outside the cabin, there’s even more to enjoy:
- Hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a long day!
- Deck and propane grill
- Outside fire pit with Adirondack chairs for the whole gang
- An outdoor yard game treasure box full of activities for kids and adults: corn hole, volleyball, soccer and kick balls, horseshoes, and many more!
Our cabin also has private access to Sleepy Creek, just a quick 10 min walk from the cabin. It's a shallow creek most of the year, but great for cooling off in the summer and for the kids to hunt frogs and crawfish. :)
Please note: our well water has a strong sulfur smell, similar to rotten eggs, caused by high concentrations of manganese in the soil. It's very common in this area. We've had the water tested, and it's perfectly safe for drinking, cooking, and bathing. That said, you likely won't like the taste for drinking -- so we recommend bringing bottled water.
We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly.
Beyond the cabin itself, we love how close to everything we are -- particularly Great Cacapon State Park and Berkeley Springs. The park is free to enter and has miles of hiking trails, a beach and small lake, golf course, horse stables, and a clay shooting range. And the town of Berkeley Springs has been voted one of the top arts communities in the US; the shopping, spa, and restaurant scene does not disappoint!
