Find peace and quiet at our quaint beach cottage on a quiet street in mid Longboat Key near the North End close to favorite restaurants, Joan M. Durante Community Park and a short walk to the beach via a private beach access. Pass slow quiet mornings or evening on the large screened porch.
Guests enjoy walking the neighboring park daily to watch the sea life in the bay, bird watch and enjoy the shade of the tropical plants and trees. We are surrounded by restaurants, a deli and a bike rental shop. It's easy to find ways to fill your time staying busy in this section of the island or you can wander to the edge of Longboat Key to explore favorite destinations like Mote Marine, St. Armand's, Downtown Sarasota, Anna Maria Island, Ringling Museum, etc.
(This is the owner's primary residence. You will find all of their favorite items here for you to enjoy as you unwind and enjoy the beauty of Longboat Key. Please don't hesitate to ask about what you need.)

Zu Gast bei Ashlie Thomison

Ashlie is an area Native. Knowing all of the local beaches and islands, she knew this was one of the most special places in Florida. Dennis has lived in Montana most of his life so the compromise is splitting their time between their two favorite places. They now rent their Florida home when they take their annual trip back to Montana.
We have fantastic neighbors, family in the area and a tenant next door so please give us a shout if you need anything during your stay. We are working hard to making our little place a paradise and we want you to enjoy your special time there!

We wanted to live the quintessential island life - walking a few minutes to the beach to sunset every night, walking through the banyans, walking a few minutes to the bay to watch sunrise every morning, being able to bike to the grocery or anywhere we wanted! Every guest we've had so far has said, "WOW, now I understand why you chose right here! This location is incredible." And it really is. In fact as of 2021, half of our guests have requested to revisit! (The property has so busy with past guests, it's rarely available.) We are so thrilled others are enjoying what we fell in love with. I will add, sight unseen! When this property hit the market, I was closing a business deal out of state and we bought it SIGHT UNSEEN because it was that special!!

The convenience of being able to walk a few minutes to sunrise and sunset, to enjoy the nature in the shade of the park and the splendor of the beach so close. To have so many of our areas best restaurants so close you can walk, bike or quickly drive! We've had guests come for Sarasota Memorial, special events at Ringling, we're close to Van Wezel, downtown Sarasota but with the tranquility and beauty of being on an island in the quietest area of Longboat Key. If you do not bring your own equipment, the rental shop in the strip mall at the end of the street, Backyard Bikes has a variety of rental items in addition to bikes as well as many kayak tours go out of Ted Sperling Nature Park on Lido Key which is a must do if you like kayaking! There are boat tours for fishing, sunset, lunch, etc. heading out of local marinas like Marina Jack's. It's a beautiful area off the coast of Sarasota with a variety of shopping and activities.
