Perfect for what we wanted

My husband and I stayed in this charming home, and for the weekend had our son and his family join us. The beds were super comfortable, and the kitchen equipped so I could prepare a big taco meal and eat out on the patio in the evening. We all enjoyed the screened porch and the big yard, playing hide and seek with the grandkids. We left just before the hurricane and hope that this home did not suffer the damage to the area.

Mountain Visit

Creekside Cottage was a lovely spot just outside Black Mountain. House is furnished with everything one needs and spotless. Comfortable beds, complete kitchen, and wonderful screened in porch. There were only 3 of us but this house can very comfortably accommodate a group. Lots of space inside and out. Hope to enjoy again in the future. Host quickly responds texts!

Delightful stay in Black Mountain

Creekside Cottage is wonderful! The house is very spacious, spotlessly clean, and the grounds are beautiful. Everything you could possibly need for your stay is provided, and the host is available close by should something arise. The location is minutes from the town of Black Mountain and also convenient to attractions and other towns in the area. Our family had the best time at this sweet home--especially listening to mountain rain showers from the front porch. We will absolutely stay again!

Excellent location and property

I’ve stayed in vrbo properties for over 20 years. This one was one of the best for what I needed and expect. Quiet, yet convenient to town, beautiful landscape outside and comfortable, well decorated inside with lots of small touches I haven’t found before aka s’mores ingredients and bath products. Obviously well kept and maintained.

A wonderful Retreat in the Mountains

Great location, Very Nice Property

Communication was excellent and the property was very nice. Very convenient to Black Mountain and the surrounding areas - eg Asheville. The house offers ample parking, a very nice screened in from porch, a fire pit to enjoy outside and a large yard. It was stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The beds were very comfortable. We were very pleased overall and would recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

Fantastic!

Fabulous home and location. We loved it so much, we didn't want to leave. The master shower was amazing. The smores packet was a nice touch. There's a lot to do in this area and we barely scratched the surface. I think we will plan another visit and stay here again. I had great comms with Property Manager and they answered all my questions.

Annual NC trip

We spent a lovely week here. The house is in a quiet neighborhood. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The seating inside and out is very comfortable and there is plenty of it. The screen porch is awesome but be aware that there is road noise. Would definitely stay again.

We had a severe water problem on arrival where the water was the color of mud. It did not get resolved the next day so we left. My wife is in poor health and we could not risk using tainted water. We have contacted the owner's management company via email and phone twice. They do not respond to phone calls. They decided to refund half our payment which is better than none. The property itself was excellent, great private location. The site manager tried helping but the management company needs to learn how to treat its customers with respect.

Perfect location for a family gathering

I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. Such a pretty location and just a lovely and comfortable house. Lots of room, perfectly maintained, super comfy beds, many places to gather for meals and conversation - perfectly met all of our needs. Everything was neat and organized, with nice little touches that made our visit lovely. Definitely recommend and we’ll certainly be return guests the next time we gather in Black Mountain.

Wonderful cottage!

This cottage was a perfect spot for our family to spend a few summer days in Black Mountain! We loved the large wrap around screened porch and spent much of our time there. Mountain Home Away

Our third visit to Creekside Cottage. We fall more in love each time. Only critique is that there is a lot of traffic on the highway and we experienced some very noisy neighbors. The accommodations and appointments at Creekside Cottage are second to none!

Beautiful property for family and work

We booked this property due to its proximity to a conference at Montreat that we were managing and wanted a comfortable, homey location for our 10+ day stay. This property met and exceeded every expectation - impeccably clean home, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and beautiful grounds. We plan on booking it again for next year.

Better than Wonderful

Stayed here a week ago (mid-March). The owner put a lot of thought and effort into the decor. Little antiques like a wooden rocking horse and antique lamps and vanities gave the house a cozy and classic feel. Yet you still had all the modern amenities that you have at home, e.g., smart televisions in the living room and den, and strong wifi throughout the house. The kitchen was fully equipped. It was as if the owner thought of everything. She even provided graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows to make smores...a truly special touch. We enjoyed the fireplace, and the firepit out back was a plus. The owner even provided the wood. We couldn't ask for more. The house is located in the quaint town of Black Mountain. It was only a 15-minute drive to Asheville. As much as we liked Asheville, it was nice to come back each evening to the calm and quiet of a small mountain town. It is also only an hour from Smoky Mountain National Park, which wound up being a highlight of our stay. We drove down from NJ. The grandparents drove up from Florida. Great place to meet up for a family get-together.

Awesome Vacation!

The house was great--well stocked, very clean. Landscaping was beautiful; sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs was great. It was just the two of us so we had lots of space! Enjoyed visiting the surrounding area. When we go back, we'll definitely stay here.
