A Memorable Getaway in Granada - A Perfect Stay at the Charming Holiday Home!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a delightful holiday home in Granada from June 8th to June 12th, and I cannot express how incredible my experience was. First and foremost, the location of the holiday home was absolutely ideal. The holiday home itself was a hidden gem. It was evident that the owners had put a lot of thought into creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior was tastefully decorated, combining traditional elements with modern comforts. The amenities provided exceeded my expectations. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the necessary appliances and utensils, allowing me to prepare meals with ease. The living area was cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. One of the highlights of my stay was the beautiful courtyard. I must also commend the excellent service provided by the hosts. They were attentive, friendly, and always willing to assist with any queries or recommendations. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced my stay and made me feel like a valued guest

Schönes Ferienhaus mit tollem Blick

Wir ( 2 Familen mit insgesamt 6 Kindern) hatten das Glück einen Teil unseres diesjährigen Urlaubs in dem schönen Haus bei Viznar verbringen zu dürfen. Das Haus thront über Granada, der Blick ist einmalig. Im Hintergrund auch die Sierra Nevada. Ein Traum! Störend ist lediglich die nahe Autobahn, die man etwas hört. Ein Auto dabeizuhaben ist ein muss, zu Fuss kommt sind die Distanzen zu weit, denn das Haus liegt doch etwas abseits. Die nahen Orte Viznar und Alfacar bieten aber in 5 bis 10 Minuten Fahrdistanz nette Geschäfte und gute Restaurants. Es gibt wenige ausländische Touristen, die Leute sind entsprechend nett. Ohne Spanischkenntnisse kommt man aber nicht weit - wie unsere Freunde in der Apotheke feststellen mussten. Da wir aber etwas Spanisch sprechen, ging es gut. Nach Granada fährt man so 20 Minuten. Die Zufahrt ist aber teilweise nicht betoniert und steil. Wir hatten einen Geländewagen und daher Spass, unsere Freunde mit einem Ford Galaxy hatten teilweise Mühe, aber es ging. Für einen Porsche 911 auf jeden Fall nicht geeignet. Das Haus ist riesig, ebenso der Garten. Alles ist sehr gepflegt und wirklich sauber. Wir wohnen in der Schweiz und haben diesbezüglich hohe Ansprüche! Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und bemüht. Zudem kümmert sich ein nettes Paar, das im Ort wohnt, um etwaige Probleme. Terassen, Garten und Pool sind ein Traum und laden zur Entspannung ein. Es gibt sogar eine Boulebahn. Im Haus gibt es Platz im Überfluss, allein die 3 Wohnzimmer... Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, fast bessr als zuhause. Für uns ein gelungener Urlaub, gerne wieder.

Nice, large house

After another VRBO stay cancelled on me at 3 pm the day before my stay, I was desperately trying to find a home available in the same region. Patricia came through. She had the house prepared and cleaned on very short notice. It was much bigger than we needed, but really liked being able to lounge around with a view. Check in was pretty smooth. Google maps takes you through a very narrow rural dirt road with big ruts, so I was given an address of another house on the same road to navigate to. Just wasn’t aware of that. After a little confusion, we figured it out. Host was very easy to communicate with, and very responsive. House had what we needed. The pool was nice after long hot days exploring the area. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms help, but not enough. They need a refresh or tuning up, as they are very loud. Had a few lizards living in the house with us, as well as ants, and lots of flies. But, that is expected in a rural area. Location is quiet, except from some light noise from the freeway, which is close by. Overall, nice stay.

Perfect house for a large family gathering. Fantastic pool and garden. Fabulous views. Patricia and Emi were very helpful. Needs a bit of tlc in places and could have done with air con the first week as it was so hot but second week was much better heat wise. Plenty of space and well equipped. Had a fabulous time and would certainly return.

Un excellent séjour en famille

Une semaine en famille avec 7 enfants de 2 à 8 ans. Un accueil plus que parfait et une bienveillance totale de la part des hôtes. La maison est sublime, spacieuse, bien conçue et chacun a pu trouver son espace privé et les enfants étaient en sécurité partout. Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse, la piscine toute la journée, le terrain de pétanque et la beauté du site! Family Holiday (18-80)

We had a wonderful stay at the Villa. It’s set on a hilltop with a beautiful view where we witnessed some incredible sunsets. The pool was very welcome, cooling us down on hot sunny days and motivating us to swim every day (as well as the odd lilo race!) There were enough bedrooms for 10 of us aged 18 to 80. The pool table, table tennis table and chess board allowed us lots of opportunities to relax and there was plenty of space for whole family fun, or to find a space to mooch on our own. Patricia was very responsive to queries and did her best to resolve anything we asked about. The fans provided were mostly good at managing the heat until there was a heatwave alert where air conditioning was definitely needed. Our last night was particularly uncomfortable with indoor temperatures at 29 degrees C. Positives: The position of the villa - incredible views, great terraces, fig trees, lots of trees, bushes, plants, privacy including a lockable gate to the grounds, friendly village of Viznar with a wonderful Panadaria The pool (thanks to Emi for regular cleaning) Friendly and helpful owner with great communication Activities - pool table, table tennis, chess, boules, bbq Plenty of crockery and cookware - including a massive paella pan Things to be aware of: The roads to the villa in Viznar are tight and tricky to navigate in a people carrier and for nervous drivers Some furnishings are a little tired No air con Pay to have bins emptied or DIY (short drive)

Great holiday for the extended family!

Inside the property was extremely spacious with several zones to enjoy (billiards room, dining area, living room with fireplace, etc). Outside featured several large patio / terrace areas, plenty of space for parking and entertainment (ping pong, swimming pool, etc). The property is situated in a picturesque location, on the side of a mountain a short distance outside of the town of Viznar. The access roads from Viznar are single track and a bit dangerous in sections (however, we rarely encountered anyone else on the roads ... so no issues).

Spectacular vista

Mountainside location with spectacular views of Granada. Fabulous open-plan spacious house with plenty of room for our 3-generation famaily of 11 people. Great amenities: well-appointed kitchen, bocci pitch, billiards, table tennis. Lots of livings spaces for people to gather. Huge multi-level decks with great views. Be prepared for winding dirt roads to access property. Close to national park and 30 minute drive to the center of Granada.

Perfect villa for large family break

Our Special Family Holidayt

This holiday was a family one for three special birthdays, it was my dream to have all my children and grandchildren together for a week. The villa is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. It was immaculate and the views were tremendous. There was nothing that you wanted that wasn't already there. Patricia the owner is there to hand over the keys and is there on your departure. Fabulous family holiday

The Villa was everything it promised and more. Patricia made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of space to spread out and the children loved the large pool and other amenities. The lovely birthday cake was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend. The most impressive villa that we have ever stayed in.

I cannot express how wonderful the villa is . Before we arrived I communicated frequently with Patricia with various queries and arranging trips to Alhambra. She was always so helpful and obliging.Whilst we were there Patricia was at hand to help arrange different catering needs and to help ensure that we had the best holiday possible. The villa is large ,spacious and met the needs of a large multi generational family. Every area was spotlessly clean. Before booking we had read the reviews and wondered could any villa deserve consistently excellent reviews, this villa and Patricia certainly do.

A beautiful place with an amazing view

We had an amazing stay at this villa in Viznar. The villa is spacious, clean and has everything you need. The design is beautiful and there are different places to relax, have dinner or play with several people. It's perfect for a family or a group of friends. The garden is very big and the swimming pool is perfect with the Spanish temperatures. Every day we enjoyed the fantastic view over the city Granada (15 mins by car) and the Sierra Nevada. The small village Viznar is just 15 mins walking. It has a small shop and is nice to walk through. For us it was perfect to be in a quiet place with the possibility to go to Granada within 15 minutes driving. Last but not least, Patricia is a very pleasant host who helps you with everything you want. The communication went really smooth and she's really friendly. Thank you so much. We're already thinking about coming back!

The property was designed by my parents to enjoy with family and friends. As it is quite big, I recommend it for groups from 8 to 17 people.

Is a really nice place to enjoy with group.

At any time of the year, the area has many interesting things to do. In winter, we enjoy the sky resort of Sierra Nevada (at only 50 minutes). In summer, we like to go to the beach. And every moment is a good moment to visit Granada.

The property has amazing views of Granada.

Its location is an strength, because it is a perfect combination between relax and experiences.
