Rural Home near Penn State University

Our quiet, secluded, forested country home is located 11 miles from Penn State University. Perfect for a football weekend getaway or family visit for graduation.
The space
Our home is a 1970s California Cape Cod on a little over an acre of mostly wooded land. It has a cathedral ceiling with bespoke chandelier and star-gazing windows. There is a deck that wraps around 3 sides, great for relaxing, and a lawn and fire-pit perfect for bonfires and marshmallow roasts. During the colder months, our wood-stove provides not only ambiance, but also nice even heat for the entire space. While the trees have their leaves our home is screened from the neighbors, so it is very private. There is a driveway with 3 individual parking spaces.

You will have the place completely to yourselves.
We offer a full kitchen with stove and oven, refrigerator with working ice maker in the freezer, blender, food processor, electric kettle, french-press or drip coffee makers, crock pot, and a full complement of dishes and pots and pans.
The wood-stove comes either with a nice fire already burning, or with quick starting fireplace logs to allow for ease and convenience.
Other things to note
This house is home to 2 friendly cats who are not able to travel with us. You should be willing to put out water, scoop some cat food, and possibly provide the occasional lap or head rub for our feline family members. Otherwise they're fairly autonomous (and we'll take care of the rest).

While our cancellation policy is strict, we will offer a full refund of our profit should the dates be used by another party.
