Beautifully Remodeled Guest House East End Historic District!

Kari's Island Escape is a cozy home built around 1915 and located in the East End Historic District. It has been lovingly restored with the character preserved. This historic cottage is a guest home on our property but is fully fenced in so all of your space is private. Walking distance to the beach and the Strand District. We have a few great restaurants right in our own neighborhood ! Whether its the beach, a cruise, or history that brings you to Galveston, we are close to it all!

Kari's Island Escape has so much to offer!

When you enter the property through the front gate, you know it’s a special place. Potted plants, a peach tree, and a hose for washing off your sandy feet are all there!

The living room has a spacious daybed sofa, with a roll out trundle twin. Both, have plenty of linens and pillows for a good nights sleep. There are board games, and puzzles provided if you need a little inside time. Arm chairs, perfect for reading one of the many books provided. TV with Roku to enjoy all of your favorite shows. Feel free to bring your own video game console for added indoor fun!

The kitchen has a full fridge with top freezer, any cooking equipment you could need, and stocked with spices, flour, coffee, tea, and cocoa.

The dining room is a great space to have a meal, play a game, or set up a laptop. There is Free Wi-Fi included with your rental.

In the bedroom, there is an inviting king size bed. Plenty of linens provided, so you can adjust your comfort level. A dresser and closet with hangers are available so you can unpack and unwind on our island. TV with Roku and Xfinity Streaming accompanies the bedroom.

The bathroom has been fully remodeled! A walk-in shower, with rain shower head and handheld wall attachment. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided. Fresh fluffy bath towels, hand towels and wash rags are plentiful, as well as beach towels! We do provide a few toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, lotion, etc.), just in case you forgot something!

A fenced and screened in back patio is equipped with a washer and dryer, 2 rocking chairs, and a table. There is propane grill for your use off the back porch.

Nestled in Galveston's East End Historic District, you can walk around and explore the neighborhood and see the magnificent architecture of the beloved homes Galveston is known for. You will be just four blocks from The Bishops Palace, ten blocks to The Beach, half a mile from UTMB Campus, just short stroll to The Strand Entertainment District, and close the Cruise Ships! Ghost Tours, Segway Tours, Golf cart and Bicycle Rentals, all available on the island!

Free Street Parking- Guests can park on the street by the house. Parking in the alleyways in Galveston is not allowed. A parking permit will be issued to guests to place on their dashboard.
This parking permit is for our neighborhood only! It does not apply to the beach, or Strand District parking.

We want to limit the amount of cleaning required by guests when checking out. All we ask is that wet towels are placed in the hamper or on the bathroom floor and not left on the hardwood floor and throw your trash out.
