Verbesserungswürdig: Sauberkeit und Zustand der Unterkunft
The property seems to have a mold problem. It smells musty and made my eyes irritated. My kids and I all had runny noses while staying there. There seems to be visible mold on the dining room wall. The owner has a dehumidifier out so I suspect they are trying to deal with this problem. We saw cockroaches (large and small) while there. There are several cans of bug spray throughout the apartment so I suspect the owners are trying to deal with this too. The owners texted me once we checked in that they had a problem with the water pump and had to move it into the bedroom. They said we can turn it off at night if it is too noisy to sleep with. It was very noisy and we shut it off. But the hoses attached to the water pump ran in through the window. We were not able to shut the window or slide the bug screen closed. We didn’t use the air conditioner in that room because we couldn’t close the window. My whole family of 5 were bitten up by mosquitos during the night because we couldn’t close the bug screen. The second bathroom shower drain was clogged and not draining properly so we didn’t use it.
This property has an interesting layout/design and is within the city walls. It is walkable to everywhere in Valletta. It is large and can accommodate a family with a living room, dining table, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has great bones but a lot of problems have to be dealt with in order for this place to be habitable.
