Welcome to this beautiful beach cottage minutes from the ocean. You'll be across from the Horseneck Beach/State Reservation, and a short drive/bike to Cherry and Webb beach. Enjoy the ocean and inlet views in this newly renovated cottage. Enjoy multiple close attractions such as Westport Village, Dartmouth shopping, and several restaurants both upscale and casual. The Audubon Allens Pond WildLife sanctuary is a short walk and the Rivers Winery is a short drive. This newly renovated cottage is fully surrounded by conservation land providing a serene getaway walking distance from peaceful beach sanctuaries. You're welcome to enjoy the natural beauty while you bike, surf, swim, fish/shellfish, boat, kayak/canoe, or simply birdwatch/relax on the large open outdoor deck/porch area. Watch BOTH sunrise (on the water) AND enjoy a sunset picnic (also on the water) at Gooseberry Island or walk the breezy trail with your loved one(s). Perfect for a lovers retreat or a small family getaway.

Perfect for a fall beach getaway!

Husband I had a lovely time exploring the southern MA and RI coastal towns, eating fresh seafood, and visiting with family. The cottage was the perfect home base, close to the beach, walking trails, and ocean air. Clean and tidy too!

Beautiful cottage

A beautiful, serene and cozy cottage, in a beautiful quiet location. Close walk or drive to the beaches. Close proximity to see sunrises and sunsets. Feels like home away from home. Great location for access to beach, walking trails and bird watching.

This was a great spot for our May weekend getaway! Allen’s Pond Wildlife Sanctuary and Gooseberry Island are excellent walks close to the clean, newly renovated cottage. Thank you to our hosts for an easy check in and prompt communications.

Great weekend spot

Spent a couple days at this lovely little cottage. We were able to explore on our bikes and visited Gooseberry Island. The weather cooperated, and we were able to get all we needed at the local market (Lees is AWESOME). The cottage was spotless, the bed was comfy, and we appreciated the water dispenser. The host was very upfront about the sometimes brackish water, which was the only downside - to our entire stay.

Amazing Location, Perfect for Two

You can’t beat the location of this cottage! We loved spending time on the deck, walking to many of the nearby beaches, and birdwatching. The cottage has everything you need - a very comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. The street is very private and peaceful, and the neighbors were so kind and friendly. Serene stay oceanside

We had a peaceful time at this cottage near the sea and enjoyed our stay immensely. You can not beat the location. We walked or rode our bikes often to Horseneck Beach, Gooseberry Neck, the Audubon Allen's Pond Wildlife Sanctuary and kayaked on the East Branch of the Westport River. The cottage was bright, airy and well appointed. Our friendly hosts were very prompt answering any questions.

What a gem!

This little house was perfect for our wknd away. High ceilings made it feel very spacious and lovely views. Clean and modern. Most comfortable bed ever! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Short getaway

Adorable cottage in a quiet neighborhood, enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning with my coffee. Owner responded quickly when we were unable to use water dispenser, tried to have another delivered but told us it was ok to just take the top off to use it due to delivery not available that day. Overall was a pleasant stay

Nice relaxing stay

Cottage is exactly as advertised. Quiet, comfortable, nice deck to relax on. Bed is very comfortable.Very close to the beach and a short walk to Gooseberry Island. I would recommend adding a chaise lounge or two to the deck!

Seaside Cottage

We just stayed a week there for the second summer in a row. The main draw is that it’s a lovely, well appointed cottage in a part of Westport where it’s very very difficult to get building permits. I love hearing the waves from the patio. I love biking to Horseneck Beach. I love feeling very remote. And it is remote. So there is no municipal water. This cottage uses well water which was a bit of a learning curve for me after always having tap water.

Great Seaside Escape

This cottage is a perfect place for beach lovers. I highly recommend bringing a bike so you can explore around the area. It is also an easy way to go to the beach since you need a Westport Parking Permit for some of the beaches. Although Horseneck State beach is a short distance and parking is reasonably priced. Bring your water shoes as the beaches are rocky but the waves and water are fabulous. The cottage was well equipped with everything you need. The AC worked perfect during the hot and humid days and is very quiet. The host was responsive and answered all my questions. Thank you for all the thought put into the cottage!

Adorable Seaside Studio

Wonderful getaway for a week. The cottage had EVERYTHING you would need. Immaculate, bedding wonderful, even washer & dryer if needed. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Hosts were wonderful & quick to answer any questions. Even a sound machine to hear the ocean waves. 🙂 Comfort of guests was definitely thought through. Janice

WOULD LOVE TO LIVE HERE

My trip to Mass. for a wedding gave me an opportunity to see 4 different places. This one was by far the best for 1-4 people. I truly enjoyed a peaceful, beautiful, safe and comfortable stay. There are multiple beaches within a very short distance. Gooseberry island was special and I walked it several times. The cottage was very very clean, had adorable decor and everything you needed plus a whole lot more. There was no clutter though. I used the washer/dryer several times, there were common condiments which other places didn't have, extra water and even snacks and quick meals. The biggest surprise was a box of Girl Scout cookies, bravo. Bayside restaurant is less than a mile away and I would eat there everyday if I could, lol. The best feature was the proximity to beautiful beaches which means generally you are not near markets. One trip to the grocery was all I needed and I didn't even finish what I bought. The hosts eliminated the need to get much because a lot was provided in this cute cottage. I needed a steamer for the dress I was going to wear to the wedding. I was stunned to find one. Thank you so much Sherry. I so want to find myself in this place again soon. Book early because the word will no doubt spread.
